[2.905 lb] I am still impressed with my TP-Link switch and router. Neither are cantankerous or unreliable. They just work as advertised. Both the router and switch are in hotter environments. My several name brand, more expensive gamer high speed router and switches all seems to fade in the heat, eventually dying in 2 or less years. Way too expensive for marginable reliability and inconsistent speed. It appears with my TP-Link I may not have to buy a new ones soon. My needs are pretty simple. I don't need to be the fastest game in town, just transfer large files reliably and keep working. These continues to be all I could ask for. 5

[Passive] This switch is a good value/good quality switch--as any unmanaged switch should be, it is just plug-and-play...I've haven't' actually tested the speeds, etc, but seems to work fine for my smaller network needs. 5

[2.905 lb] I recently upgraded to an 8Gb/s internet connection, and this switch was the perfect drop-in upgrade to accommodate that. It runs warm but not hot to the touch, indicating decent thermal headroom for those who might be loading it up with more throughput (I only have 3 10Gb/s devices connected to it). I also bought some CAT-7 cabling to upgrade the CAT-6 cable running 100ft to the modem, but haven't found a need to actually install it yet since this seems to work great with the existing cable run. Beyond the product itself, I have to tip my hat to B&H for their consistent speed of service. Up here in Canada we have options for acquiring this kind of gear but even with the exchange rate and import duties, B&H usually beats the price and ships faster by professional courier. Plus, when they say In Stock they mean it! They should open a Canadian warehouse :-) 5

[40 Gb/s ] Upgrading my home server and associated network this week. Had an old 16 port 10/100 rack-mount switch in the server cabinet which had a few bad ports and was about 10 years old. This 1U rack-able Gigabit switch was a perfect replacement and upgrade. Hope to get another 10+ years out of this one. 5
