This coiled power cable measures 14.2 to 39.4" in length, and it allows you to connect select Sony cameras from high-capacity V-mount or Gold mount battery plates or other DC sources that have a 2.1mm DC output.

[Coiled, Power] This is a great way to run a camera off a v-mount battery or any other battery with a d-tap out. It is working flawlessly. It's perfect for long shoots or when the camera needs to run for a long time without the need to change batteries. It is also great for table-tops, match cut shots, stop motion animation shoots or any situation where you can't move the camera or it is difficult to change batteries, like when on a jib. The larger batteries with a d-tap last much, much longer than the NP-FZ100 camera batteries. One v-mount battery lasts all day with my Sony A73. I love that. And if you put your camera on rods, they make mounts for v-mount batteries, so this could used for a great run and gun set-up. Perfect for long days of shooting or to impress a client with your cool, bigger camera rig. The Sony A73 has a little notch on the battery door to pass the cable thru for this dummy battery. It was very easy to install. The build quality of this dummy battery is also very impressive. The coiled cable is a great length that stretches out to 24, but coils up nice and neat when you do not need the entire length. This dummy battery also comes with a built-In voltage regulator to protect everything, which is great. Another added benefit to this dummy battery adapter is even if you are using the regular camera batteries, having this in your kit is a great emergency back-up for power. I like having that as a nice peace of mind. I'm very happy with this product. Again, it works just as advertised as, and is a helpful addition to my camera package. [Coiled, Power] When shooting stills or video for an extended period with a USB power source, the internal battery still supplies 20% or more of the current, and lasts only about 5 hours. Furthermore, USB connections are small and subject to excessive wear. This battery substitute runs from a large 14 V video battery through a D-Tap connection, and is regulated to provide the full 7.2 VDC required by the camera. 5

[0.1 lb] I use the Watson D-Tap Dummy Battery with our Sony FX3 and a7siii and it makes longer shoot days a breeze. On days when we are doing nonstop interviews, this adapter shines. I can usually get through the day with one v-mount battery vs 3-4 OG batteries. It is a time saver on set for sure. I've used it on 2-3 shoots thus far and I haven't had any issues.
