[0.58 lb] This is a great way to run a camera off a v-mount battery or any other battery with a d-tap out. It is working flawlessly. It's perfect for long shoots or when the camera needs to run for a long time without the need to change batteries. It is also great for table-tops, match cut shots, stop motion animation shoots or any situation where you can't move the camera or it is difficult to change batteries, like when on a jib. The larger batteries with a d-tap last much, much longer than the NP-FZ100 camera batteries. One v-mount battery lasts all day with my Sony A73. I love that. And if you put your camera on rods, they make mounts for v-mount batteries, so this could used for a great run and gun set-up. Perfect for long days of shooting or to impress a client with your cool, bigger camera rig. The Sony A73 has a little notch on the battery door to pass the cable thru for this dummy battery. It was very easy to install. The build quality of this dummy battery is also very impressive. The coiled cable is a great length that stretches out to 24, but coils up nice and neat when you do not need the entire length. This dummy battery also comes with a built-In voltage regulator to protect everything, which is great. Another added benefit to this dummy battery adapter is even if you are using the regular camera batteries, having this in your kit is a great emergency back-up for power. [7.6 V, 2 A] I use the Watson D-Tap Dummy Battery with our Sony FX3 and a7siii and it makes longer shoot days a breeze.

On days when we are doing nonstop interviews, this adapter shines. I can usually get through the day with one v-mount battery vs 3-4 OG batteries. It is a time saver on set for sure. I've used it on 2-3 shoots thus far and I haven't had any issues.


I can see this being amazing once I get one of those block cage rigs for the fx3. Overall, I'm impressed.

[7 x 3.7 x 2.1"] Took me time to find the correct part, but whn I found this everything worked perfectly. I have an A7III, and have had no issues using this to stream and in replacement of my webcam.

[US Wall Plug] This AC power supply met the need for short-term client work requiring over-night continuous video. With two 256 gb cards (dual slots) and this power supply, the camera reliably ran 10-hour segments. Have purchased AC power supplies for all three of my cameras now.

[7 x 3.7 x 2.1"] I used it with my Sony ZV-1 and it powered the camera just fine without any interruptions. I appreciate the long cable.

[7 x 3.7 x 2.1"] I was streaming my lectures with the FZ100 battery and the USB power cord, thinking I was bypassing the battery. As it turned out, that only slows the drain on the battery, and when I had a three-hour class, the battery ended up dying in the middle of class. So I got this dummy battery and no more issues - I can stream for hours on end. Highly recommended.

[7 x 3.7 x 2.1"] This dummy battery is exactly what I needed for my FX30 camera. Its perfect for filming YouTube videos, podcasts or anything really if your filming in one place.


Having to constantly stop and swap batteries isnt ideal, thats why I am really glad I bought this dummy battery. So far its been great and has made it super easy to film without worrying about my battery running low.


Well worth it in my opinion and highly recommend.
