[38.8" / 98.5 cm] I didn't realize how much use I would get out of these cables. I mainly use them to power some of our SmallHD monitors either from the D-Tap port on the Ronin or out of our IndiPRO battery plates on our cameras. I also recently started using it with my Canon 5D Mark III while shooting timelapses. I don't have a plate specifically for the 5D, but I borrow a different plate and use this cable to keep the camera powered for 10+ hour timelapses

[Straight] This cable provides long duration power to my Canon DSLR, which I now use for streaming. Works perfectly BUT...you must ensure your power source feeds it the minimum 2 amps required by this cable! Another reviewer complained it didn't work with, among other things, an iPhone charger. Right, because iPhone chargers supply less than 2A. Any USB-A port I tried under 2A does not work. What works for me is a 2A iPad USB AC adapter, and my Anker power bank also puts out 2A and works with this cable. That 2A power requirement is critical; don't ignore it.

[38.8" / 98.5 cm] I do a lot of film and I use the black magic 6K pocket cinema and I have the black magic monitor that goes along with it This was a great way for me to power my monitor to keep up with my camera. I was a little apprehensive at first but it really works it’s well-built and fits snugly in the battery compartment. I would recommend this to anybody that’s either running gun or If you have a v-mount battery looking for a great way to power two devices.

[38.8" / 98.5 cm] I purchased this adapter to provide an unlimited power source for my Canon R5 using an Anker PowerCore Elite III battery and charger. Prior to using the adapter in my camera, I first plugged the battery in separately and verified that the output voltage was correct. I found the unloaded output voltage delivered to the camera is 8.47 volts which is slightly higher than the Canon battery voltage of 8.05 volts. When placed into the Camera, I found that my R5 functioned properly with no apparent loss of functionality. I'm now performing a long-term test external to the camera before putting it into normal service.

[Straight] When you're doing long timelapse videos on an R5, you need a device like this. Worked perfect for me.

[38.8" / 98.5 cm] It doesn't fit! I'm sure this adapter is wonderful -- that's why I gave it five stars. But I don't know how good it is by way of any actual experience because the plug doesn't fit the CORE SWX POWERBASE EDGE battery I purchased it for! The adapter has the correct plug TYPE -- just the wrong size. I blame CORE SWX for the mix up. I can't find any documentation that tells me the POWERBASE EDGE battery system uses a non-standard plug size for this application. I'm exchanging this adapter for a B&H #COPBECLPE6. Fingers crossed that adapter works on my new battery!

[38.8" / 98.5 cm] I have two of these - one for Canon body, one for Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera. When the cameras are powered from a 98 WH IDX battery with D-taps, I can run the cameras literally all-day without worrying when the battery needs to be changed.


So far everything works perfectly - no problems with fit, no problems with function. Nothing gets hot. Very happy with these adapters.

[Straight] This is a great way to run a camera off a v-mount battery or any other battery with a d-tap out. I attached it to my Watson Pro VM-144-MN mini v-mount battery, and it is working flawlessly. The larger batteries with a d-tap last much, much longer than the LP-E6 camera batteries. On a side note, I love the Watson brand batteries. They are great, last long and provide excellent bang for the buck. My v-mount battery lasts all day with my Canon 5D M3. I love that. And if you put your camera on rails, they make mounts for v-mount batteries, so this could be used for a great run and gun set-up. Perfect for long days of shooting or to impress a client with your cool camera rig. It's perfect for long shoots or when the camera needs to run for a long time without the need to change batteries. It is also great for table-tops, match cut shots, stop motion animation shoots or any situation where you can't move the camera or it is difficult to change batteries, like when on a jib. The coiled cable is a great length that stretches out to 24” but coils up nice and neat when you do not need the entire length. My Canon 5d M3 has a little notch on the battery door to pass the cable thru for this dummy battery.  This should be the case for all Canon cameras that use the LP-E6 battery. It was very easy to install. The build quality of this dummy battery is also very impressive. This dummy battery also comes with a built-in voltage regulator to protect everything, which is great. Another added benefit to this dummy battery adapter is having this in your kit as a great emergency back-up for power. I like having that as a nice peace of mind. I'm very happy with this product.
