For optimum eyepiece orientation, the tripod collar rotates up to 90° in both directions, and a 1/4"-20 mount makes it compatible with many tripods, quick release plates, and other popular support systems like window mounts. [77 mm] I bought these as a gift and was not there when they arrived with the recipient but I know they were delighted with them. I was very impressed with the delivery information and the speed with which my order was dealt with. They were sent from the USA to Australia and all the paperwork was handled by BHP and obviously as binoculars are delicate objects they must have been extremely well packaged. Well done.

[Porro] I only began birding in February 2021 so I'm by no means a binocular pro, but I'm extremely impressed with these.

I've been happily using a set of Nikon Monarch 5 8x42 throughout the year, but wanted something a bit smaller and more compact to bring with me on non birding-only outings. Within half an hour of use this past weekend, I fell in love with these 8x32 Opticron Explorer WA ED-R and will probably wind up taking them on most outings, birding-only or not.

The wide field of view makes trying to spot warblers in substantial Northern Ontario thickets far easier than with the Nikons, and the optical quality was near perfect on a bright September morning. They also feel sturdy and comfortable in my hands, and are really just a joy to use.

I like the quick release on the (very comfortable) strap - it makes it easier to slide into a coat pocket depending on your outing - but though the case seems very well made, I don't think it's a perfect fit for the binoculars. It's truly my only complaint, though.

I was on the fence between these and the 8x32 Travellers, but after one use feel justified in my selection of the Explorers. I'm sure a more experienced birder would notice some differences and (depending on one's income) be able to justify the extra $150 USD - as mentioned in reviews on BirdForum - but for my purposes I couldn't be happier with these Explorers.

I'll definitely be returning to Opticron and B&H for future binocular needs.

[1/4"-20 Female] I love this compact scope. Very light weight and powerful. My friend has a 2000 $ scope and she prefers to use mine. Its small enough to fit in my day pack or over my shoulders with tripod attached.

[77 mm] These bins are a nice compact size, a bit larger than 25mm bins so easy to hold but still much more packable than most 42s. I was torn over which magnification to buy but have no regrets in choosing the 10x. The FOV of these 10x is about the same as many other 8x so I’m finding they’re fine for birding and no issue with jiggling. The eye relief works fine for my eyes with glasses on and the view is certainly bright, sharp, and clear throughout. Overall very pleased.
