Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Could you use this to charge 4-5 V-Mount batteries overnight?

A: You could potentially use the Satechi 200W USB-C PD 6-Port Desktop GaN Charger to charge 4-5 V-mount batteries, but this would depend on the wattage requirement for each battery.

Q: 2. Can it support display output? Will I be able to connect USB C to HDMI cables to connect my macbook to external monitors?

A: The Satechi 4-Port USB-C Hub will not support video output .

Q: 3. Can this devise be used in other countries with 230 volts outlets?

A: The Xcellon PDG-4200B 4-Port 200W GaN USB Charger BH #XCPDG4200B does work with dual voltage.

Q: 4. how we know that it is full charged or not, there is no indicator light?

A: The Xcellon PDG-4200B 4-Port 200W GaN USB Charger is not a battery, it has to be connected to an outlet to supply power to connected devices.

Q: 5. Does this charger automatically regulate the power to devices? I.e. if a device has a 45w input, will it automatically throttle?

A: The Satechi 108W USB Type-C PD GaN Wall Charger BH #SAST3C108WCM will regulate the needed power. Port 1 (1 Device): Up to 100W Port 2 & 3 (2 Devices): Either up to 60W/45W or 88W/20W Port 1, 2 & 3 (3 Devices): Either up to 45W/30W/30W, 58W/30W/20W, or 65W/20W/20W

[100 W] I have LG Gram with 80wh battery. Charges like OEM power adapter.
Happy with the purchase.

[100 W] Does exactly what it is supposed to do. I was able to connect a 4k webcam, audio interface, USB-C monitor (using DisplayLink), and an external SSD. They all worked flawlessly.

The ports are also nicely spaced out, so your USB-C connector can be extra thick and still not block the one beside it. There's also a blue light (in the middle of the device, above the logo) that is constantly on when the hub is plugged in, even if nothing is attached to said hub.

The device itself is thin and very lightweight. I also appreciate that it is metal.

Note that there are a couple things that do not work. You can't charge your main device with this, so plugging in a USB-C cable attached to a power adapter doesn't do anything. It also does not carry over DisplayPort, so USB-C monitors will need to be connected another way.

Overall, I have definitely needed something like this. With everything going USB-C, it's very surprising to search USB-C hub on sites and still get those x-in-1 hubs with two or three USB-A ports, but only one or two USB-C ports.

[100 W] This is a very nicely made charger and will keep all of your devices charged. I have tested it on my 16 Apple Silicon MacBook Pro. It will charge the MacBook Pro at 100 Watts so it can also handle an iPhone, Watch and iPad. Very compact and the 6 foot extension cord is a great idea as it makes it easy to use for international travel.

[No ] Unfortunately DJI no longer includes a charger (Air 3) so I researched for a good, fast charger. This works very well.

[100 W] One of the most challenging things about being a traveling documentary filmmaker is finding places to charge all of your gear at night. This charger takes care of that in one small package. I hook up my phone, MC lights, camera batteries, pretty much everything to it and can get everything charged at once.

[100 W] Does everything it says on the tin and was compatible with all of the devices I needed it to work with. Good construction, doesn't get too warm under heavy load, and comes with a FANTASTIC quality (and grounded!) mains cord.

Don't let the lack of a USB-IF certification deter you - the certification process and requirements for multi-port chargers is outdated and convoluted, so most manufacturers of modern high-watt adapters don't bother trying. Most importantly, it IS ETL certified and thus compliant with North American safety standards!

Don't expect the wimpy little vertical base to hold it in place without help from adhesive,
especially if you're using thicker cables for higher charging current. This didn't apply to my case because I intend to mount it under my desk with dual-lock strips, but still worth mentioning.

Also, it sometimes takes a few seconds to establish the PD handshake (especially on the high watt ports 1 and 2) but this is completely normal even though it's a bit longer than many other PD sources. For what it's worth, this implies that their protection and PD negotiation logic is conservative and prioritizes safety over activating the port immediately.

Although this is far from exhaustive and I don't have any devices over 65W to test with, this was my test gauntlet as some of these (especially the Switch) simply do not work with Power Delivery that's not correctly implemented:
- 65W (19v) Dell Inspiron (laptop)
- 45W (15v) Nintendo Switch Lite
- 45W (15v) Steam Deck OLED
- 18W (9v) Samsung Galaxy S5e (tablet)
- 15W (5v) Pinebook Pro (laptop)
