Q: 1. Hi!I have a Zoom H4N. I want to use it for the audio of my Youtube videos of me talking to the camera (never thought I would write something like that in my life...!)To do this, I need your help because I'm a total newbie at this ! So 2 questions :1) What king of connection cord do I need to connect my zoom machine with my DSLR (EOS 60D) ?2) I need a mic that let me be at a distance form my camera while I'm shooting. The same as the one tv announcers clipped to their jacket or blouse on the news. What kind do you suggest me under 150$Thank you so so much for your precious help :)

A: Q1 - I do not have an Zoom H4n but it appears a 3.5mm audio cable will work. Like this one: Sescom LN2MIC-ZOOMH4N - Line to Microphone Attenuation Cable for HDSLR Cameras.Q2 - Any lavalier (ex Polsen, countrymen) mic should work you can purchase them from about $23 and up

Q: 2. Can this be attached safely to a C-stand?

A: Yes this can be attached safely to a C-stand that has a grip arm already attached to it.

Q: 3. What is the weight capacity when the arms are at maximum length horizontally?

A: The, Impact 2 Section Double Articulated Arm with Camera Bracket at full extension can support up to 11 lbs.

Q: 4. Does it swivel or rotate?

A: It really does both. It can do full 360's but you have to watch the locking wings because they get in the way

Q: 5. Which babyplate could I use to mount this to the ceiling?

A: You can use one of these. https://bhpho.to/36YUojP

Q: 6. What is exactly the Pros of the Brass version?

A: Brass is stronger than some metal alloys and is less likely to bind or become stuck when dealing with threads.

Q: 7. I want to use this flex arm with a flat clamp like Pedco UltraClamp Aluminum Support Clamp. I need to clamp onto a 3/8 flat piece of metal and have a flex arm from there. Is there a way? (13)Pedco UltraClamp Aluminum Support Clamp

A: I don't understand what your trying to do? I found that the arm was not strong enough to hold a light up. I have Alien Bee's they are to heavy. Hope this helps

Q: 8. What is the reasoning behind using different metal on the fixture ends? The Impact BHE-108 Is brass and the Impact BHE-108S Is steel. I would assume that steel is the strongest and most durable material, so why use brass - is it just a personal choice of aesthetics - where is there a more sound reason?

A: Brass is less likely to bind and would be easier to take apart. But yes steel would be a bit stronger.

Q: 9. How would this compare to the equivalent manfrotto one as far as stability and durability?

A: Impact can take more payload and weighs less than the same Manfrotto version, however it could be said that the Manfrotto is built better or works smoother, your mileage may vary with that however. Stability/payload wise it seems Impact is the way to go.

Q: 10. Is arm length adjustable?

A: Yes by sliding the arms through the knuckles.

[0.93 lb] This flex arm does pretty much as advertised. Paired with a super clamp, it holds my small speed light firmly in place. Well made and should see years of service.

[0.93 lb] I know it said heavy duty in the title so I should have expected it, but this thing is REALLY heavy duty. While I haven't tried yet, I think you could easily mount a DSLR with lens to this for remote shooting or whatever. It's solid and good-quality.

[0.93 lb] I use two super clamps, a super clamp and clip, & a super clamp with small camera adapter (panasonic gx7). This arm is very easy to position and hold Gobos, cameras, and other various little things infront of lights and by my camera for viewing. great little tool.
