Extend the HDMI and USB Type-C ports to a safe position to prevent pulling with this SmallRig HDMI USB-C Adapter BMPCC 6K 4K Cage Bracketfrom SmallRig. On one end, the adapter features male HDMI and USB Type-C cables to plug into the camera ports, and on the other end is an adapter with female HDMI and USB Type-C ports.

The adapter end mounts onto a SmallRig cage using two mounting screws. The ports are then easily accessible to plug cables in without the need to remove the cage and to prevent pulling the cables to protect the camera ports. The adapter supports HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 standards.

[Plastic, Steel] I use this on my small rig cage for tethering my Sony a1 when shooting stills. I install it with one screw so it can rotate and it will disconnect if someone yanks the cable without damaging the camera of the tethering cable. Inexpensive addition that can save you thousands in damage!!!!! 5

[1.2 oz / 33.5 g] I spent a day on location shooting a home renovation show with the camera on my shoulder all day. Climbing up and down ladders, walking between wall studs and all the other hazards of a construction site, and of course the USBC connector took a good shot. It bent and broke the USB cable. I ordered this immediately and from that day forward I've been using this adapter. It mounts firmly to the cage, and by redirecting the USBC cable to enter from behind rather than the side, the cable and connector has taken much less abuse than it otherwise would have. From Day 1, the adapter has been 100% reliable, both for USBC and HDMI. I cant understand why others have not had the same results. 5

[0.17 lb] Excellent adapter. This is a perfect fit for black magic cameras with the right small rig cage. I have bought many of these for different black magic cameras for friends and myself. The connections are solid and protect the ports on the camera itself. I highly recommend. 5

[Plastic, Steel] Hello - I have this anxiety when plugging usb in and out of a device, and this creates a 'failsafe' - it's an additional possible point of failure, but I'd prefer it from the adapter than the actual camera. The only thing I have is that the bottom part of the adapter makes it hard to remove the dtap power connector. Minor tradeoff. 5
