I can't think of any reason not to recomend Pelican Case to any one who wants to protect their gear. I have never had a problem with lens fungas since I started storing my lenses in a Pelican case with desicant.

[Yes] Love these things for little touch ups. The other day put a greasy thumb right in middle of lens. Just had to reach in a pocket and smudge was gone. If I see any particles, I’ll definitely use brush end. Maybe even a blower first. If it’s beach sand, this will stay in my pocket and I’ll break out cleaning kit

They don't have sexy labels, wheels, or the modular post-custom adaptability. [Copolymer Shell] I have used these cases for years to protect my gear they always stand up to extreme punishment. Back when I was deployed in Afghanistan we used the Pelican 1200 to carry spare magazines (10 fit perfectly). I still have the case, it is ugly but still works!

[Yes] After a squeeze of the blower bulb these lens pens (Fuji branded or otherwise, they're equally excellent) clean pretty much anything off a modern coating without damage. Put a little gentle effort in and you'll polish your optics to a shine.

[Copolymer Shell] I think it a very safe and useful case for my external hard drive. I am a student so I can be a bit clumsy and messy. I love the Pelican Case because I do not have to worry about the safety of my HD. I know it wont be damaged. I only wish that the packing foam was easier to take out and replace... but Im not sure how to fix that, plus it's not really that big of a deal.

[Yes] pelikan cases are the best i use them for everything from my cameras to my cell phone. any time you need to protect something, you can rest assured if it's in a pelikan case. the 1400 is the perfect size for a portable dvd burner, or dslr kit.it's a great case for small dv cameras and small dvd players.

[Yes] when i decided that my Nikon needed to come camping, rock climbing and hunting my military experience told me to get a Pelican Case. they are the go to for weapons, electronics and optics. it is absolutely indestructible. i can think of no situation where this case would be a concern (i would worry about my personal safety first). if fit my Nikon D40 with the 18-55 attached, a 55-200 lens standing vertically some filters, the battery charger and cable, and the manual laying in the bottom of the case. the downside is pretty obvious, it is heavy and inflexible. some might call it ugly, but i think the design looks good solely out of its clear function over form. it will give you a lot of hassle with the security guys at the airport since so many people recognize it as a weapon case. i am perfectly pleased. it is an uncompromising product that will get it done.
