Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work to connet the original wireless Go to my Android? Samsung S23.

A: The RODE SC16 Straight USB Type-C to Right-Angle USB Type-C Cable (11.8") will not make an audio connection from the original Rode Wireless GO, because the original Wireless GO receiver does not support audio over USB-C. It is only compatible with an analog 3.5mm connection.

Q: 2. Can this be used to go from the XLR outputs on a mixer board to the rode wireless go 2 TX unit inputs

A: I'm sorry, but the Cable Techniques 3.5mm TRS Right Angle to Two 3-Pin XLR Male Tape Output Y-Cable Adapter that you asked about would not allow you to output from a mixer into a wireless transmitter. Most mixers will have XLR male outputs, so you will need female XLR connectors on the cable. Additionally, the Rode Wireless Go II transmitter will only accept input from a mic level source. The cable that I am linking below has the correct gendered connectors, and also has a built in attenuator to lower line level to mic, so that you can successfully send the stereo line signal into the transmitter: https://bhpho.to/3IdRNCf

Q: 3. I just purchased an SC4 3.5mm TRS to TRRS adaptor hoping to connect my Apogee Element 88 to my iPhone 11. My signal chain looks like this - MacBook Pro - Apogee 88 - TRS RCA Cable - SC4 3.5mm TRS to TRRS adaptor - to Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter. The iPhone is not recognizing the mic. Is it possible to use SC4 3.5mm TRS to TRRS adaptor with and RCA cable line out?

A: Upon looking at the Element 88, we notice there are no RCA outputs on the unit. You may be referring to the 1/4'' outputs on the back of the unit. If this is correct, and the cabling is as you suggested with 1/4'' outputs from the ALT out, then technically signal should pass. You may need to look at your DAW outputs and ensure you are sending signal to the ALT outputs and not just the mains. An alternative to that many adapters would be this cable, used from the 1/4'' outputs, and connected right the the Apple lightning to headphone adapter BH #SEIPSUMTS3.

Q: 4. Hi, i want to use this as a line-in cable to connect the output feed from a mixer into my android/iphone phone, so i can send mixer sound to my phone and stream it over facebook live, can i do it with this adaptor?

A: Hi Maguel,I bought this to adapt to TRS to TRRS, works great.. Make sure you don't get scratchy connector noise in your feed... It usually comes from connectors not being tight.

Q: 5. Will this work to retrieve onboard recordings from Wireless Go II?

A: Yes, you can use Rode SC16 Straight USB Type-C to Right-Angle USB Type-C Cable (11.8") to connect your Rode SC16 Straight USB Type-C to Right-Angle USB Type-C Cable (11.8") to retrieve your recorded audio to another device.

Q: 6. Does this just charge the mic? or does is actually send audio signal? Will the mic be recognized as an audio device?

A: The RODE SC16 Straight USB Type-C to Right-Angle USB Type-C Cable can be used for an audio connection with Rode devices that support digital audio output, such as the VideoMic NTG, the VideoMic GO II, or the Wireless GO II receiver.

Q: 7. Will this work with the lightening Cable that comes with Iphone, or do you need to buy a Iphone lighten cable with a female Trrs?

A: Yes. This Rode SC4 will allow a microphone to connect to a phone. It would still require an Apple adaptor B&H # APLAADAP

Q: 8. Can I use this for iphone microphone?

A: This adapter converts an iPhone microphone jack to a regular jack. I use it on a regular video camera to convert my iPhone Rode Lavallier mic to a regular mic. Hope this helps

Q: 9. Will this work to connect a rode mic to an iphone 15 pro?

A: The RODE SC16 Straight USB Type-C to Right-Angle USB Type-C Cable (11.8") can be used to connect compatible Rode USB-C microphones to an iPhone 15.

Q: 10. Is this cable compatible with the Polsen OLM-10 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone?

A: This cable is not compatible with the OLM-10. If you are interested in connecting this mioc to a smartphone or tablet, the Rode SC4 adapter would be required.

[26 AWG] Works great as an adapter for my under desk mounted 4i4. Being able to rotate the back end around to direct the cable in whichever direction on both ends is nice. Hex is small though so you'll need the right size bit to make it work, H0.9 size worked for me.

[0.355 lb] Bought 3 cables (red, white, blue) for my Sound Devices MixPre-3. Needed these since the bag was tight. Perfect so far!

[Neutrik] This is a great niche item. I paid for this instead of a cheaper solution because there is nothing really in the market that compares to this. Audio quality is amazing and build quality is top notch. The only con its just expensive but that's what you pay for a specialty piece.

[0.355 lb] I was wondering why this cable is so expensive, but I changed my mind once I held it. It inspires confidence for heavy duty use... will be coming back for more...

[10' / 3 m] 4 pin XLRs are not so common (compared to 3pin) so it's nice that someone is making a low profile one.

Item is solidly built and works well.

[26 AWG] Most 4 pin XLR plugs are much to big and stick out too far. This one is low profile and doesn't stick out much. (Switchcraft make a 3pin XLR plug that is even shorter but not in 4pin.)
Overall the item is great and works well for me.

[10' / 3 m] They work great for a mic on a camera or a sound recorder. I have used these on both. The only issue, and it is minor, is the cord is so thin that the cord holder on the mic is too large. It also locks in very securely. Wish I bought this years ago.
