[1x CR2] I rarely review products but must in this case because I am so pleased with these binoculars. I've owned Leica, Swarovski, and Nikon binoculars in the past. Each had strengths but also disappointing shortcomings, particularly for the two premium brands. After much research, I decided to give these Meoptas a try. Wow! Outstanding visual quality, smooth focusing, robust build quality, and great ergonomics at a price that can't be beat. I'm very sensitive to chromatic aberration and sense little to none with these binoculars even in tough lighting conditions. I was concerned that the diopter adjustment might slip because it shares a spot on the focus wheel and doesn't lock- turned out to be not an issue in the least. The binoculars are relatively heavy, but feel good in the hand and are easy to bring and hold on target. In summary, these have exceeded my expectations so far and I would highly recommend them based on performance, quality, and cost. 5

[17 mm] Recently bought the 8x42s with the usual fast delivery provided by B&H (and a nice free gift). I have a pair of Swarovski SLC 8x30, SLC 10x42, CL 8x30 and Leica Trinovid 8x42. In my opinion these Czech MeoPro Airs are every bit as good as my Leica and SLC 10x42. Love the styling and the quality of these. They've become my go to binoculars. 5

[4.045 lb] I have 5 of meoptas scopes and it is hard to beat there product for the money, I used a 25 year old set of Pentax until now. If you don't have pocketbook for premium glasses theses are a great option. very good resolution, quick control response, fairly light, you cant go wrong. 5

[42 mm] I purchased these for hunting and have used them for about one week glassing mule deer and pronghorn is the wide open spaces of Wyoming. The glass is shockingly crisp and bright with zero edge distortion or chromatic aberration and is exceptionally bright in low light. The electronics are quick and responsive. The controls are very intuitive and tactile. I compared these side by side with the Leica Geovids and Swaro EL Range and I could not tell a difference in glass quality. The electronics in the Swaro are worse but the electronics in the Geovids were superior (although I don't need a ballistic calculator in my optics). One thing to note is that the binos DO CALCULATE TRUE HORIZONTAL RANGE. Why that isn't advertised is beyond me. All in all if someone gifted me $4k to spend on binos I'd buy these again...and then spend the other $2500 or so on something else. 5
