This 55mm Urth Variable ND Lens Filter 55mm 1-8.6 Stopcan be adjusted to block 1 to 8.6-stops of light, giving you more flexibility in bright variable light. By blocking up to 8.6-stops, you can use wider apertures in bright variable light for shallower depth of field effects and slower shutter speeds for long exposure effects without overexposing your images.

[55 mm] Very nice - much better than I'd thought actually since it's much less expensive than other filters with the same features (full stops, etc.). Optically it seems totally fine, which of course is the main thing one cares about when shooting through another piece of glass. I consider it a very good purchase and would recommend it to others. I've never used the $200+ NDs, but for about 1/4 the cost, this sure seems like an excellent filter. And B&H as usual shipped quickly, packed safely - great service. 5
