Control your Nucleus-Nano motor without taking your hand off this Tiltaing Right-Side Advanced Focus Handle Type V from Tilta. Designed with a black finish for Tiltaing camera cages, the handle allows you to control focus via a built-in fingerwheel, and it features a button for triggering recording on/off over an optional Tilta R/S cable connection to compatible cameras. Multiple R/S cables are available, depending on your camera.

The handle attaches to the side of your Tiltaing cage using your choice of an optional dedicated Right-Side Handle Adapter Type IV, V, or VI. Each of these attachment adapters uses a different mount type, such as a rosette or NATO rail. The handle accepts a Sony F570 battery, sold separately. An included USB cable connects the handle to your Nucleus-Nano motor to power it off the F570 battery and allow fingerwheel focus control. There are two connections on the handle, an 8V regulated USB Type-C output where the USB cable plugs in and a 12 VDC output.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with a Nikon Z9?

A: The Tilta Right-Side Advanced Focus Handle with Run/Stop for F570 Battery (Black, Type IV) (B&H# TIARFH457B) is not compatible with the Nikon Z9 Mirrorless Camera (B&H #NIZ9) using any currently available (March 2022) Tilta Advanced Side Handle Run/Stop cable.

Q: 2. Is BMPCC 4k shows remaining power with this handle?

A: It will not. The Pocket Cinema Camera will not be able to measure the remaining battery life left on the battery with this product.

Q: 3. Can this be mounted on the right side too? All photos show it on the left side and no mention if its swappable, but there seem to be holes on the other side indicating it might be flippable?

A: This handle can only be mounted on the left side

Q: 4. How long does a canon lp battery last compared to a Sony battery?

Q: 9. does it compatible with the Nikon z7 ?

A: No. The following unit does not adapt as there has not been a dummy battery designed and made for the Tilta unit.

Q: 10. Could I use a lp-e6 dtap battery to control this from the v mount on my camera rig?

A: no the Lpe6 dummy battery will not work

[0.995 lb] After trying the side handle by portkeys I've ended my journey with the advanced side handle with RS. Portkeys had a great handle I almost kept but there were a few reasons I decided to return that for this. First being it was very confusing system. It worked well with pocket 6k because of the Bluetooth. But the fact I couldn't pair with my pocket 6k and have my portkeys LH5P monitor made me have to pick between the monitor and the handle. I kept the monitor and went with this Tilta. And I'm really glad I did. The focus motor is designed for focusing. The wheel is dampened and it feels solid. And this system is much more versatile as I can use this on pretty much any small to medium sized cine lens. The RS button works exactly as it should. You do need the optional cable which i can't understand why is $30. But all in all Tilta is the best rig accessories "company" while I believe small rig is the best at making cages and rig parts. If your Legos kinda guy then go smallrig. But Tilta makes products you need. Like this one.

[0.995 lb] Well built and good addition with Tilta Nucleus Nano.
Pro - with the F970 battery, the Tilta Nucleus Nano will last full day of filming. With this, pulling focus while have a grip onto the camera make it easy and having ssd slot save space.
Con - I wish this was wireless to the Tilta Nucleus Nano. This is tether to the motor. So I would recommend get a short right angle usb micro B and long right angle usb micro B. Because the usb port is on the bottom of the handle.

[0.995 lb] Although I haven't used it for long, I absolutely love this handle. The possibility of having the focus on the tip of your finger while holding the camera is incredible, and a game changer for handheld camera. Im pairing with the nano motor and so far it works good. I wish there was a way to revert the direction of the focus knob, in case I need to rig the motor on the right side of the camera.

[0.995 lb] This is a nice handle for pulling focus. It is very sturdy and solid. I find the focus throw to be sufficient, though I'm still working on calibrating it properly. I had also purchased the advanced handle, but it was too small for my hand. This was much more comfortable. I wish they had picked a different location for the micro USB port though.

[0.995 lb] I purchased two of these ( a left and a right) to use on my ring rig for my cinema setup. I use one for follow focus and the other for zoom on my cinema lenses. Works great!
