Designed to maximize the uptime and accessibility of RAID storage, the RocketRAID 3720C PCIe Host Bus Adapterfrom RocketRAID 3720C PCIe Host Bus Adapterfits into a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot on your host Windows, Mac, Linux, or FreeBSD system using an included low-profile bracket. It is equipped with two internal SFF-8643 mini-SAS ports that support up to eight SAS-3 12 Gb/s or SATA III 6 Gb/s channels, which may be used for Enterprise and NAS drives. The RocketRAID 3720C also supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and 50, each of which provides performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD is available. To better monitor the health of your RAID configuration, HighPoint's RocketRAID WebGUI interface provides a wide range of preemptive monitoring and maintenance features.

It is also possible to expand or convert RAID storage configurations as needed with Online Capacity Expansion (OCE), which allows admins to add new drives to existing arrays. Online RAID Level Migration (ORLM) allows admins to convert one RAID level to another in order to tune storage configurations for improved performance or data security.

Please note that bootable RAID 6 arrays are not supported and RAID 6 is not supported on Mac. This controller may be used with the RS6418S and RS6414S JBOD tower enclosures via 8644-8088-1M1 SFF8644 to SFF-8088 cables.

Q: 1. Is this USB 3 speeds certified? I don't want it to convert to USB 2 speeds just because of the adapter.

A: This does not support USB 3.0 speeds.

Q: 2. I just got Xfinity 2gbps internet. Will this card allow it to download fast than say my regular old 1000mb card?

A: If all your devices support up to 10Gbps, you can get speeds up to a 10Gbps. If not, this card also supports 10/5/2.5 and 1 Gbps of speeds. 2.5 Gigabytes will be faster than 1000 megabytes.

Q: 3. Does this come with the optical connector, or do I need to purchase a module separately?

A: This model does not come with any wires, only mounting brackets.

Q: 4. Will this device work with new android operating system KitKat or Marshmallow?

A: This adapter will only work with devices that support USB OTG. Please consult yourdocumentation and/or your service provider to ensure that your device does support USB OTG functionality.

Q: 5. Does it work with Asus Maximus VI Formula motherboard?

A: Yes, the ASUS XG-C100C 10GBase-T PCIe Network Adapter BH #ASXGC100C is compatible with the Asus Maximus VI Formula so as long as you have an open space for it.

Q: 6. What size HDD does this card support for RAID 1? I'm looking at using the IronWolf 10TB 7200 RPM NAS HDD.

A: On the datasheet for this product, the manufacture only states it supports larger HDD's than 2TB. It doesn't specify the maximum size. Q: 7. Is this compatible with non-Asus motherboards?

A: Yes, I have two running. One on an MSI motherboard, and another working on a Gigabyte one.

Q: 8. Is a low profile bracket included in the box?

A: Yes, this model comes with the low profile bracket, as pictured.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with windows 11?

A: As of March 2023 there is not a Windows 11 driver available directly from Asus for the XG-C100C 10GBase-T PCIe Network Adapter. Third party drivers may be available, but compatibility is not guaranteed.

Q: 10. Will this card work on MAC pro 5.1?

A: I would not recommend using this card with a Mac, as driver issues may render the card inoperable.

[Low Profile] I love this adapter. I've used it to connect a keyboard, mouse and a USB drive to both my tablet and my phone. Each time it worked right away. I don't think I'll use it for the mouse much, but the keyboard is great. Any time I have a longer email I want to type I just connect a USB keyboard with this adapter and start typing. I also have a bunch of music on a 32GB flash drive and I just hooked it up and was able to start playing the songs. 5

[0.615 lb] This connector now allows me to connect my Canon camera to my Fire and transfer photos to my Fire for back-up and storage on the road. You once had to buy expensive equipment to do this. 5

[Low Profile] I use this to connect to a HighPoint RocketStor 5322 Dual-Dedicated 6 Gbps eSATA Storage Dock. The purpose I use this setup for is Removable Backup Drives that are stored in the Safe to protect the data from Theft and Fire. I want to make an important note about Windows 8 and the use of this product. - Windows 8 and later shuts your computer down in a Hybrid Hibernation state, so that your computer starts up faster (if your OS is on an SSD it makes no difference in speed). If you leave this option turned on, it will not allow this controller to use the Drives connected to it as hot swappable and you will have many issues. If you turn this option off in Windows 8, everything works perfectly. - To get to this option in Windows 8 to turn it off, go to the Start button then click the magnifying glass for search and type po bu (stands for power button). Under Shutdown settings un-check Turn on fast startup (recommended). Click Save Changes at the bottom and then Re-start your computer. That is it, it will work perfectly now. I did not come up with that fix on my own I contacted HighPoint when I was having the issue and they first saw if they could recreate the issues I was having in their Lab and they were able to and told me they would contact me again when they have the issue resolved. A week later they contacted me and told me this fix for my OS. The issue had nothing to do with their hardware or software but an OS setting and they figured it out for me. I find that a rare thing these days and will Trust this company for future purchases if I need them. 5
