Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has anyone used this 82mm Kase KW-MGKITSC-82 system with the Canon RF 15-35mm Lens and if so have you experienced any lens vignetting?

A: These filters are fairly thin and you can stack quite a few of them. At the widest 15mm part of the zoom range you can stack 2 maybe 3 filters. But once you start zooming in a little you can stack more.

Q: 2. What is the difference between the Kase Wolverine v.s. Skyeye setup? they seem to be exactly the same but with a huge price difference.

A: The Skyeye filters are a budget line of Kase filters that mirrors their more expensive Wolverine line of filters.

Q: 3. What's the difference between this kit and the very similar #KW-MGKITPROC-82 (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1533019-REG/kase_kw_mgkitproc_82_82mm_pro_kit.html/qa)?

A: The more expensive kit comes with a stack cap instead of just a lens cap. Which consists of a front and rear cap.

Q: 4. How do you adjust the Polarizer when is attached to the magnetic strip?

A: The rotating ring is separate from the magnetized ring that holds it in place.

Q: 5. Will the Canon RF 15-35 lens hood fit over the magnetic adapter ring?

A: The lens hood for the Canon RF 15-35mm lens would not fit over the magnetic adapter ring of the Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Stack Kit.

Q: 6. Will this fit the Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens?

A: You can stack up to 2 filters on the Nikon 14-24mm Z lens and there will be no vignetting. If you stack 3 filters, vignetting would occur at 17mm or wider.

Q: 7. Can this cap be used on the k9 100mm filter kit?

A: Because the front of the filter on the k9 100mm filter kit is a 90mm, this cap will not work unfortunately.

Q: 8. Does this come with a magnetic lens cap?

A: No, it does not. Filers typically don't come with caps.

Q: 9. will a nikon lens hood fit over the magnetic adapter and filter?

A: Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to test filters on specific lenses for compatibility with the lens' lens hood. Also, different lenses will have different lens hoods and different fits. That being said, do note that we do have a 30-Day Return Policy for the above filter, so if you are unhappy with the filter, you may return the filter within 30 days for an exchange or a refund subject to the terms & conditions of our return policy (listed on the bottom of our website).

Q: 10. How does this differ from the Kase 77mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II (BH #KAMGKITPRC77 MFR #KW-MGKITPROC-77)?

A: The Kase Wolverine Stack Kit (KAMGKITSC77) comes with the rear-filter cap that enables a more streamlined system for storing and carrying your filters, with the caps at the top and bottom of the stack. The other kit you have linked only comes with a front lens cap.

[0.08 lb] If you're looking for quick, easy to use in the field or on a tripod without extra, these are the right filters for you. I'd looked at filter systems for a while and never felt satisfied with plates and holders. Too many pieces that have to be held or moved from one container to another, but require additional handling once one. Screw on filters seemed like the best option, though I knew I'd have to go bigger than my largest lens. Enter Magnetic filters! They do everything I need, simply, and I never worry they're going to fall off.

Now, for graduated horizon needs, these aren't likely to be your best bet, but besides that, I see no other reason I'll ever use a different filter system!

Love the build quality, love the simple and usable holder, and image quality has been excellent!

[0.08 lb] Very happy with the Wolverine magnetic filters - super easy to stack and combine without worrying about lining up threads or taking time to switch out filters while that perfect shot windo fades away!

[Steel] I'm a (hobby) landscape photographer who primarily doesn't use filters!... that's how much I hate dealing with filters. I sometimes used a CPL and have taken a few long exposure shots with an ND filter, but that's rare.

I thought the magnetic filters were a fantastic idea, but reviews of other brands said they don't stay on and the cap will fall off in your bag. These had good reviews so I tried them.

Not only are the filters amazing (perfect glass) but they actually stay on very well. Comes with a beautiful though bulky case. But you also get a front and back cap so you can carry them without the case. However, they should really give you TWO front caps... one for the lens and one for the filter set. You will have to buy another one, if you can find it in your size.

The only complaint I really have, and this was based on an Amazon order sold by Kase, but they required a signature which is kind of maddening for a $300 product. I don't know if the same item from B&H would require a signature. Hopefully not.

[0.08 lb] I often use neutral density filters out when it is cold, and trying to screw the different filters on and off to get the right combination, or even a variable density filter takes time and sometimes is frustrating. The Kase magnetic filters are fantastic and quick to use. The Magnetic Stack Cap Set lets you keep these filters protected in a pocket of much smaller space than a filter case. I give it a 5 star.

[Steel] I absolutely love this filter set! I went with the 82 mm filter set and bought the 72 to 82 mm step-up ring and the 77 to 82 mm step-up ring. The magnetic filters make it so easy to use and make stacking multiple filters a breeze! If you are looking for something that is easy to use out in the field these are the filters for you!

[0.08 lb] I spent a lot of money on polar pro ND filters and loved them, but always worried whether I'd have to struggle to get them off even the high quality brass adaptor rings. Then my PMVND got stuck on an adapter ring and 2 weeks later, I still haven't gotten it off. Given the video I do, I have to have ND filters. Being unable to get one off an adapter ring can screw up an entire shoot. So I picked up the Kase Wolverine Magnet filters and could not be more pleased. The magnet is strong enough that it holds them on with no problem. The set is well made and the glass is excellent. Most important, I never worry now about whether I'll have to take a hammer to an ND filter to get it off the adapter. I would have saved a lot of money, anxiety, and headaches if this had been available when I first started investing in ND filters. Yes, it's pricey. But if you have to have the right ND filter and you want to avoid the worry about whether you'll ever get it off your adapter ring, Kase Wolverine is the way to go.

[0.08 lb] If you're using the Kase 112mm magnetic filters and don't have one of these magnetic caps, please do yourself a favor and buy one. They are much better in the field compared to the Nikon Z 14-24mm OEM lens cover.

[0.08 lb] This magnetic cap set is a must for the Kase filter set. When you want to keep a filter or stack of filters close by, this cap set keeps the front and back of your filters safe so you can slide them into a pocket without worry.

[Steel] With the 77-112 magnetic step-up adapter ring, I can use my 112 filters on all of my 77mm lenses. I also use a standard 67-77 step-up ring to add the 77-112 adapter to my 67mm lenses, so I can also use the 112mm filters with my 67mm lenses. There's no vignette on my 67 and 77mm lenses with three filters mounted. I can use 2 filters on my Nikon 14-24, F2.8 lens with no vignette. With three filters, there's just a slight vignette in the corners, but if I back off to 16mm, the vignette is gone. I rarely use more than two filters at a time anyway.
