The AKG D112 MKII Pro Dynamic Bass Microphone is a descendant of AKG's D112 and earlier D12 dynamic microphone, and is widely known for its ability to handle high-level signals from bass drums and bass guitars in the studio. The microphone has been designed with a low resonance frequency and can handle very high transient signals with low distortion. It has a large dynamic range with a high signal-to-noise ratio and the capacity to input high sound levels without distorting. High frequency response has been tailored to keep both bass drum and bass guitar clearly distinguishable in the mix. A built-in windscreen makes the D112 also suitable for high SPL instruments such as the trombone and tuba.

A: We do not have the stand adapters seperatrely but we do have shock mounts that would fit. [Cardioid] I have had these for a little over a season now and I am quiet pleased with them. I can hear ~ 20dB more than the average hearing human (verified by 2 audiologists), and these headphones are good medicine to my head.
I work on voice acting, music recording, and use my ears a lot when it comes to audiobooks, webinars, and listening to meditation music. The noise cancellation is just the right amount for my taste, the sound temperatures coming through are even and balanced, and I feel confident that what I am hearing through the headphones is the quality that I am sending out for auditions.

My one adjustment I would make is that the headphones have to be even on my head for the sound to come through. When I try to listen with just one ear, the sound cuts out. Not sure if this is a safety feature or something...? It doesn't detract from its value to me.

[Solid-State] I got the K271 MKII yesterday. The bass is better then I thought it would be. People are saying the 271 have no bass I think the bass is very good. The mids and highs are great

[Cardioid] This microphone base allows me to use my AKG C404 XLII in it's shock mount in a desktop configuration. I tried several different mini-tripods but none worked well. This was the perfect solution.

[Black] I have one D112 already and love it. I wanted to compare to some other bass drum mics to purchase a second, and found that this most accurately reproduces the sound. Bottom line, it sounds great. And it's rugged and has design improvements over the first version (attaches directly to your mic stand). If you're looking for a good bass drum microphone, this is it. If you want to try to save a few bucks, you'll come back to this one anyway. It's the best

[Mono] I was looking for affordable studio headphones to mix and master my own music tracks, basically guitars, bass and drums at night so my family wouldn't have to sleep in a tent ;-). As of today the sound quality is very good. The bass is not overwhelmed, mid and highs are very well balanced. If you are bass and highs lover they are not for you. They are not 100% studio monitors replacement but for occasionally work at night and tracking are perfect. I have to mention that my head is a size of melon so I'm always worry about the comfort. In this case is no issue.

[Mono] Awesome headphones...owned my pair since 2013 and they are still going...the coiled cable finally started fraying at the connection point a few weeks ago but it works...never had to switch cables til now...I think that speaks for itself. Ive travelled with headphones everywhere...abused them...and they just work. If they were lost/stolen/destroyed today id order another paid tomorrow.

Sound quality is subjective i suppose depending on your needs...I use them when video editing on the road, and monitoring audio on video shoots...I think they sound really good...better than the Sony 7506 that are a staple in my field. Isolation is really good too...Not the best ive experienced but close.

[Solid-State] What first drew me to these headphones is that they create a soundstage where you can recognize individual instruments in the mix as they are panned from left, center, right, and all points in between. Most headphones can't achieve this, but these babies do it easily. I use them for both work, as a sound recordist for motion pictures, and personal listening as well. I know what I'm recording when I wear these. I can't say the same for the typical Sony headphones.
