TriceraChorus is inspired by the classic tri-choruses and stompbox choruses of the 1970s and early 1980s. It pairs rich BBD-style tri-chorusing with another classic effect of the 1980s: Eventide MicroPitch detuning. This effect can be used to thicken the sound, to add static chorusing, and to spread the stereo field by detuning the left and right signals in opposite directions. The combination of these effects makes it easy to create syrupy, smooth, and deep modulations on synths, strings, vocals, guitar, bass, and more. TriceraChorus is a great way to add richness and spatial depth to your sounds. TriceraChorus was designed to inspire experimentation with a UI optimized for live performance. Whether on your desktop, laptop or iPad, TriceraChorus will expand your sonic palette.

TriceraChorus has three chorus voices: Left, Center, and Right. A three-phase LFO modulates the delay times for these voices, producing interesting and pleasing movement across the stereo field. The combination of the three modulated delays creates rich chorus sounds that are reminiscent of gear from the '70s and '80s.

For a classic chorus stompbox sound, set TriceraChorus to Chorus mode. If you need something with more complexity and depth, Chorale produces lush swirling choruses inspired by classic rackmount tri-chorus units. For a more psychedelic aesthetic try out the Swirl preset.

TriceraChorus takes full advantage of the flexibility prevalant in today's modern desktop and mobile platforms. You can automate its parameters, including several controls tailor-made for expressive on-the-fly use.

The Ribbon control for example morphs the effect between two different settings. Wielding this intuitive performance macro can be great for intensifying the depth of flange-like settings, changing the rate of modulation for transitional effects, or simply controlling the Mix parameters for momentary performance flourishes. Conversely, you can use the Hotswitch control to jump immediately from one effect to another for startling and sudden changes.

Ribbon and Hotswitch controls are saved per-preset, providing great flexibility in exploring the range of possibilities with TriceraChorus.

  • Bucket-brigade delay-style stereo tri-chorus
  • Chorus mode evokes the chorusing effect created by classic stompboxes
  • Chorale mode produces lush swirling choruses inspired by classic rackmount tri-chorus units
  • Chorus Mix adds just a hint of chorus, or turn it all the way up for vibrato
  • Depth L/C/R controls the amount of modulation applied to each of the 3 voices from the LFO. Individual voices can be muted, allowing you to use any combination of voices
  • Detune the left and right channels simultaneously by +/-40 cents
  • Delay sets the amount of delay for the chorus effect; use it to thicken your signal or create a flange or slap-back sound
  • Swirl adds stereo frequency shifting for a psychedelic flanger-like flavor
  • Tone for shaping the high and low end of your signal. Remove muddy low frequencies or roll of high frequencies for a darker sound
  • Ribbon lets you morph the effect between two different settings
  • Available for Mac and PC as VST, AAX, and AU plug-in
  • iOS version works as an AUv3 plug-in and standalone app

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does this cart accomodate traveling as checked baggage? Must it be stored in its own case or bag?

A: I have travelled with these carts for over 30 years, in the USA and all over Europe. You must check them in baggage and you cannot carry them on. Now things are changing rapidly in the travel industry so that may changed, but I have, up till now, not had any issues.

Q: 2. Does this product suffer from rust issues?

A: After a while it does if dragging through rain and snow. I also have sent it back after 10 years to get refurbished.

Q: 3. Hi! I have a Velbon C-500 for my Canon T4i, wanting to be able to shoot straight down colouring videos. Is the arm compatible with the tripod I mentionned? Thanks!

A: Yes, this arm would work on your tripod (or any that features a 3/8 or 1/4-20 connection). You might also want to use a shot bag to counterweight the arm:Impact Shot Bag, Black - 5 lbB&H # IMSHB5 Mfr # SHB-5

Q: 4. What is the weight capacity for this without slipping on the speed rail?

A: Approximately 150 lbs.

Q: 5. Will this arm be suitable for a canon 5d mark iii?

A: I should work just fine as it will accept anything with a standard tripod connector. The only question is how much does your camera weigh. You may need to do a counter balance. I use a Nikon D800 with grip attachment and it works just fine.

Q: 6. Will this work with the Nikon premium tripod?

A: I dont know . Check the thread size on your tripod and the ones on the extender and see if they match.

Q: 7. Is this one easy to pull up a flight or two of stairs?

A: Yes. Those back wheels act as a stair climber. You would have an easier time pulling up a flight or 2 of stairs with this cart.

Q: 8. Since this tripod arm comes with a ball head, am I able to rotate the camera to take photos in any direction or is it just straight down? For example, take a photo of a plate on a table and then rotate the camera to take a photo of art hanging on the wall in portrait position.

A: It is full 360 degree ball rotation.

Q: 9. I have an inexpensive Bower tripod that has a quick release mount. I'm confused as to how this attaches to my tripod. Does it attach to the quick release plate?

A: Yes, this attaches to the quick release. Be very careful, this extender is heavy and with the weight of the extender and the camera, the tripod may topple over. The quick release also tends to have a sway. Pointing this out especially since you mention you have an inexpensive tripod. Granted it comes with a hook and bag for counterbalancing, but not sure how effective that will be because there is also a noticeable sway. Also when tightening the extender nut, it does damage the metal and creates a noticeable dent. For how heavy this is, the metal is quite soft.I will not buy this model again.

Q: 10. Will this product fit on a Slik 300DX tripod?

A: Yes, the Photek TRI-X-2500 will fit on a Slik 300DX tripod. This product will work on any tripod with a 1/4 -20 or 3/8 -16 mounting stud.

[Download] Best chorus I've played. Limited range but sounds so good. The modern 9v plug is a bonus.

[1 User] The sound is very clear. No coloring. This is by far the best delay I've had and the others I've owned don't macth on any point... (Ibanez AD-9, Boss DD-7) It's a bit expensive but worth it. It's simple to use, very nice and offers a lot for the money. The sound is absolutely incredible. The USB port offers the capability of upgrading the presets and firmware. This pedal evolves so it doesn't get outdated. Eventide have a nive web support and pdf files and programs. You can organize the presets with a free application on their site. So many features - impossible to list.

[1 User] I bought this for my 1976 Fender Rhodes piano - to get as authentic a chorus sound as possible without buying vintage. This pedal has it all -- Japanese build quality, both CE-1 and CE-2 circuits, true bypass, all analog circuitry and AC adapter capable. Best of all -- it sounds fantastic -- no noise, no level drop, and fat, smooth chorus tone across the entire frequency spectrum with no digital brittleness.

The CE-1 circuit is ideal for the Rhodes, but I will use both options and can definitely see guitarists doing the same.

B&H is the best for three reasons -- (1) great selection; (2) excellent shipping updates and packaging (and always getting the order right; and (3) B&H takes PayPal - a huge advantage for online shopping!

[Yes] It all started with the Boss CE-1 chorus pedal in the 1970's. Every other chorus pedal is a modified version of that pedal. A beat up used one can easily go for over $500. Then came the equally good CE-2 but in a smaller classic Boss enclosure. Now for a great price you can get both pedals in one and it's made Japan (not China like most) with the highest quality components. I've tried dozens of pedals and for the price, there's nothing better.

[Yes] Video Copilot's element 3d is a great plugin. It allows me to bring my objects that I have modeled in Lightwave, into After effects. This has helped speed up production, because I don't have to render out the scene first. I can take my model straight into After Effects and then render my scene. All in After Effects.

[Download] What's not to like about this wrist strap. It's stylish, oozes
elegance with beautiful leather and can be cinched up
tight so as to not slide off your wrist. I like the fact that it
is long enough so that when you bring the camera up to
shooting position there is enough slack to prevent the
strap from impedi!ng the movement of your hand. It's
really a great strap at a great price !

[Download] So glad I made this purchase. I was in a hurry to meet a deadline and Element 3D has been hands down the fastest most efficient way bring 3D objects into After Effects and create 3D scenes to composite into your videos. The ability to drag .obj files into After Effects is huge and the speed at which the program functions is incredible. I've been editing off a laptop with 16G RAM and a NVIDIA 1050 3G graphics card with After Effects CC 2020 and moving around my scene in the 3D viewer is instantly responsive without any lag or dip in resolution during camera rotation.

[1 User] This is great....beautifully made, snug around your wrist, and the price is excellent. I particularly like the easy-on-and-off loop for when I have an antique film camera without the case which is where the neck strap typically resides. So rather than go bare this adds instant security.

[Download] For small combo work with a hollow-body jazz guitar, this amp has a great clean tone and in small rooms plenty of power even at its 40 watt rating. It must be extremely efficient because I have yet to go beyond 1 on the volume.
