Add protection and a variety of accessories to your Canon EOS C70 camera with this space gray Kondor Blue Camera Cage for Canon C70 - Space Grayfrom Kondor Blue. The modular camera cage features a top plate, side plate, and bottom plate, providing an open design that allows you to access all the camera's ports and controls and utilize individual plates if needed.

The cage offers an ARRI-style anti-twist thread on the side plate optional side handgrip or extension arm, it is compatible with the camera's original grip strap, and it features multiple 1/4"-20 threads. The top plate features 1/4"-20 threads, 3/8"-16 ARRI-style anti-twist mounts, two shoe mounts, a bubble level, and two integrated NATO rails. Other top plate features include a magnetic tool storage for tightening the screw mounts, and it relocates the sensor plane marker. It is compatible with the original Canon top handle or with the Kondor Blue Trigger Top Handle, and it also works with the Canon Mic Mount.

On the bottom plate, there are 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 steel tripod mounting threads, with 1/4"-20 threads on side wings, and one side features an HDMI cable clamp. On the front of the bottom plate are two M4 threads for an optional lens support. Paired with the optional Kondor Blue Bridge Plate, it allows for a standard 3.3" height above an optional 15mm LWS rod system. A magnetic tool stores in the bottom plate.

[Canon EOS C70] I ordered the handle from here and Adorama and the description says cables are included which they are not. So if you order be aware that you have to order the cable for your camera. Kondor Blue came through and sent me the cable that I needed since the ads says it comes with 2 cables when it doesn't. Kondor Blue's customer service was great 5

[Cage] I was using another name brand top plate - well made, but it blocked some controls. The Kondor system is very well planned to add function without limiting access. I typically use an external monitor and a shotgun mic, or a wireless mic...sometimes both. This system gives me better mounting points. The only negative is that the HDMI protector was too narrow to allow any of my cables to connect. I will just do without that u til the time is right to replace a cable. 5

[Cage] I finally built my proper cinema rig, and this camera cage is the perfect addition to it. The cage is extremely sturdy with no flex at all, and it has a ton of mounting options for extra gear. I love that the carry handle comes with a recording start/stop button, and that it also has a bubble level, magnetically held tools in the baseplate and a sensor plane mark/screw. The cage also has the support strut on the left of the lens rather than the right, so I can use my Meike EFTR-CL drop in filter adapter without issue, unlike with other cages. This cage costs more than the smallrig and tilta options, but it is worth the premium for those features. Also it just looks super cool! 5

[Aluminum, Steel] Not sure why the other buyer had the issue. Mine fit perfectly with the S1H. There are two screws at each side to adjust how much you want the camera to sit in. For the S1H, I removed those two screws and the camera fits very well to the cage, but still maintain tiny air gaps. As for the functions and value, it is really hard to beat. We can slide the camera into the cage and then slide it out for mounting to the gimbal without any tool. Functionally very similar to how Bright Tangerine thinks about designs but the price from Kondor Blue is in the affordable side. 5

[1x HDMI Clamp] I've used two other cages on a C70 on two ends of the budget spectrum - a Bright Tangerine half cage setup ($1,000+) and a Tilta full cage setup ($100), both great for different reasons. I decided I needed a minimalist setup that kept the weight down to a bare minimum. I was nervous about leaving a $5,000 investment unprotected, but eventually dove in and bought this skeletal cage. I love it. There's not much to say about the baseplate, because there's not much to it either. It offers mounting points on three sides and has an HDMI bracket to protect your HDMI from being twisted or bent. It isn't a locking HDMI protector, keep that in mind. In my opinion, this is a more elegant solution. Fewer moving parts, and it does it's job. It's not there to prevent an HDMI from getting pulled out, it's there to prevent bending or twisting damage to your HDMI cable and the C70's HDMI port. The side plate was a question mark for me, and still is to a degree. I removed my C70's hand strap a while back since the only thing it was good at was being a sweat collector. I installed the side plate and... I kinda like it? I don't see myself attaching much to it, but it's attractive, it'll be functional if the need ever arises, and it's surprisingly comfortable. The top plate is fantastic. Since it attaches to both the top shoe and the sensor plane marker mounting points, and feels nice and secure. It offers the combination of mounting points I need for my setup. I opted for the cage-only bundle since I already own the awesome Kondor Blue Talon handle that I love. 5

[Aluminum, Steel] Look no further, this is the perfect cage for the R5C. It's also the only one that give doesn't block the left side of the body, so you can use any VND adapter like the Meike, KipperTie Revolva or Breakthrough. Super easy to assemble and the top handle with the record/stop button is a must for any serious video shooter. Worth every penny. 5
