[Black] I have Shimoda Explore V2 35 backpack that's very comfortable with the Shimoda Designs Large DSLR Core Unit Version 2. I've had many bags over the years and this one is just as good or even better than say F Stop bags etc. I've had. Checks all my boxes anyway. The core holds all my main items. The tallest lens for reference that fits vertically, just barely but it does and safely is the GFX 120mm Macro so that was a plus saving me some room. I'm a pretty big guy being 6ft 240 but have a long torso. I didn't love where the waistbelt landed on my back so I bought the Osprey IsoForm5 CM Custom Moldable Hipbelt and used it as it's a little bit wider and beefier and it hit a more comfortable spot on my hips. Watch some videos on the bag there's tons for all the fine details. The bag is great though big enough and small enough for all my traveling. Hopefully this is helpful to someone.

[Zipper] I literally have a dozen camera packs for different types of shoots but none of them was a good fit for my Canon R5 and accessories. I purchased the Shimoda V2 25 backpack and as soon as I unboxed it I knew it was a perfect fit. Not only is it a great fit, I've had many compliments on how nice the backpack looks! I have my Canon DSLR in a Shimoda 30 backpack and I'm very happy withe the workmanship and storage capabilities of the packs. . .worth every penny!

[7.3 lb] Highly recommend the bag. Before buying I was hesitant given the price. That being said I've gone through several bags trying find the best carry option for photography, travel and hiking. The main things I have been looking for was a bag that had top and rear access, hold water bladder, big enough (but not too big) to hold photo AND non-photography things, and well stylish (didn't want it screaming I have camera gear or look like a giant turtle shell on my back). This shimoda pack checked off all those so I bit the bullet and got it and I can say I have no regrets. The bag is well made and appears durable - plus the company has been around and have a good track record. The bag, although heavier than the hiking daypack I was using before, actually carries really well and I don't feel the weight even under load. The internal frame and wide chest sections of the shoulder strap spreads the weight out making it a surprisingly comfortable carry. I realized there is no perfect photography backpack. But after going through several bags already, this one has definitely been the best and hits all the boxes of things I was looking for. If you're looking for a solid camera, travel and outdoor backpack at an streamline size give this pack a go!

[7.3 lb] This bag is pretty much perfect. I got in on the kickstarter campaign, picked the v2 35 to replace my main camera bag, and then decided to get this bag as a small bag that I could put in my kayak to carry a small kit. Flash forward, and I can carry pretty much everything I need for most scenarios. I usually carry R5 with 24-205 attached, rf 70-200 f4, ef 50 f 1.8 and rf to ef adapter, power bank extra batteries, and assorted filters, which all fit in the back access and shoulder strap pockets, leaving the top and front pockets open for any non-camera gear I want to carry.

[Yes] I've owned a few over the years and tended to buy cheaper backpacks. I decided to finally pay for a good one. It's exactly as advertised. Best one I've ever used. I even lost the hip belt and they sent me a new one free of charge. They got my business for life now.

[Yes] I have owned a few bags in my lifetime. Between Lowepro, Mindshift, and Peak Design. So far this one checks all the boxes I was looking for. I love the modular design and the overall bag is very well thought out. I had the Action X50 but it was just a tad too big and I never used the roll top design. I took this bag out to Death Valley on its first adventure and it held up well. Sand was everywhere but never interfered with the zippers and the bag just wiped clean after using it. It also happens to be very comfortable to wear which is probably the most important. Overall very happy and will last me a very long time.

[Universal] My Shimoda explore 35 is a comfortable camera pack which has carried my large and small gear on trails, mountains and lakes. The adjustable shoulder straps and hip belt allow for a custom fit, making the load less burdensome. This bag will also meet plane, train or auto travel needs, when they arise. Definitely recommend the brand.
