Warm's Premier cables go above and beyond, adding features like gold-plated connectors, a braided outer wrap, four-conductor star-quad construction (helping aid in giving you powerful rejection of RFI), and double-Ruessen shielding (also for increased rejection of EMI).

This braided wrap removes the friction that occurs when rubber or PVC rub together, so it's much easier to handle and wrap the cable. No more fighting with a rat's nest of cable spaghetti. The braided wrap also adds an element of strength and reliability, as it helps to protect the cable's PVC jacket from damage due to pinching or binding.

A traditional balanced cable uses three cores of wire to carry audio signals—one shielded core for the positive leg, one shielded core for the negative leg, and a plain outer wrap that functions as the ground. The idea is this: a fully balanced system flips the phase of the signal, merges the positive and negative signals together, and effectively cancels out interference encountered along the cable's length by throwing it out of phase with the audio.

Star-quad construction takes that concept even further by using five cores instead of three. Two cores are provided each for the positive and negative legs, as well as a single ground. This helps to further shield the audio from RFI (radio frequency interference), ensuring an even better performance.

Double-Ruessen shielding goes further than more traditional techniques in two ways: First, the cable is wrapped with two separate shields. Second, the outer shield is wrapped in a contrary direction to the inner shield, creating a stronger and more complete barrier from EMI for the internal cores.

Gold connectors have characteristics that are advantageous for signal transfer and provide more resistance to corrosion than other metals, making it well-suited for cable connectors.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How could I replace the internal XLR cable?

A: Please contact K-Tek directly for repair: K-Tek: Tel: 760-727-0593 Email info@ktekpro.com

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the Rode VideoMic Pro Compact Shotgun Mic?

A: The rode video mic pro is a shotgun mic designed for dslr shooters. It has a mini jack for hooking into the mic jack of a dslr type camera and a cold shoe for fitting into the top of a dslr. You wouldn't want to use it on this boom pole. What you want is the rode NTG series shotgun mics. These are the video professional grade shotgun microphones, the NTG-1, NTG-2, NTG-3, NTG-4, and NTG-8. I personally use the NTG-1, and it has served me well for almost 8years. It requires phantom power from whatever recording device you are connecting it to but it is a great mic. You'll need a shock mount though to fit it onto the boom pole. I would suggest the Rode SM4 shock mount. Or if you want protection from wind look no further than the rode blimp and windscreen system. With this kit you are good to go for all indoor and outdoor shooting. Hope this helps!

Q: 3. will this work in a Sony HTC 380 sound bar? I accidentally broke the tiny cable that runs from the sound bar to the TV nd need to find a new one.

A: That is how I use it...no problem...besides B&H has the best return policy around.

Q: 4. Will this work between a mixing board and an android smartphone? Using an auxiliary output from the mixer

A: No, this cable is intended for connecting a dynamic microphone with the input on a smartphone. Since you will be connecting the output from a mixer, which is a louder line level signal (not mic level), you will need to use an attenuator (level matching) cable that will pad the line level signal from the mixer and make it compatible with the mic level input on a smartphone. If you will be connecting from a mixer's XLR output, you will want to send both the left and right output signals so you will need a cable like the Sescom SES-43DB-# 43 dB Pad DSLR Attenuating Line to Mic Level Cable - 18" (B&H # SES43DBMZ2XJ) combined with a USB-C adapter such as the Apple USB Type-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APMU7E2AMA) to convert the 3.5mm TRS plug to USB-C. If you have other output options on the mixer, such as RCA (Tape output), you can use the Sescom SES-43DB-# 43 dB Pad DSLR Attenuating Line to Mic Level Cable - 18" (B&H # SES43DBMZ2P). Please

Q: 5. Has this been tested on any of the iPad Pros with the USB-C port?

A: There is no evidence that this product has been tested with i Pad Pros. Suggest contacting the manufacturer before buying: Website http://www.comica-audio.com/ Email support@comica-audio.com

Q: 6. Will this work with the Zoom F8?

A: No it is specifically for the Sound Devices 744TH. The CA744INL Dual XLR to Dual TA3 Channel 3/4 Input Cable for 744TH (48") from Remote Audio is an audio input cable designed to be used with line level signals for input channels 3 and 4 on the Sound Devices 744T digital field recorder. The cable is 48" long and has a pair of 3-pin XLR female connectors at one end and a pair of TA3-F connectors at the other. The connectors are color-coded for easy management.

Q: 7. If he XLR cables are connected from the cordless receiver to the our main ampler, does the 1/4 audio cable have to be hooked up also for proper operation?

A: No. You can use one or the other, Not both.

Q: 8. Does it come in a case?

A: When I purchased this set, it came in a box with styrofome. No bag. Also, I don't consider this unit to be portable since the base unit isn't small, so I wouldn't expect a bag to come with it.

Q: 9. Can I use this to connect the 2 line XLR outputs from a Sound Devices Mix Pre-D to the Sound Devices 633 TA3 inputs?

A: The Remote Audio CA744INL Dual XLR to Dual TA3 Channel 3/4 Input Cable can be used to connect the 2 line XLR outputs from a Sound Devices Mix Pre-D to the Sound Devices 633 TA3 inputs.

Q: 10. Does this mic accept phantom +48 power?

A: This is a condenser microphone, so it does require +48 volt phantom power.

[4x Strands] The gold connectors and braided cable are very nice touches. I've had no issues with interference since i got these, whereas before I did with the cheap cables. Very happy, and will buy again.

[23 AWG] Not sure what to say about a 1' cable. The connections are nice, solid, and secure. Feels sturdy, though I don't know how well they would hold up under heavy use. However, How much heavy use are they going to see being 1'? I feel like they are well worth the price. Pretty good deal.
