Made from a soft neoprene, this set of three red LensCoat LegCoat Wraps 312 - Set of 3 Redwrap around the upper part of your tripod's legs for protection as well as comfort when being handled. Using touch fasteners, the soft neoprene wraps are easily affixed to a tripod and create a thermal barrier to keep the tripod manageable, even in extremely hot or cold conditions. The wraps also provide protection from bumps and scratches. To ensure the best quality it is made in the USA.

This model is 12" long and is designed for tripods with leg diameters of 1.25-1.4", such as the Gitzo Series 3.

A: The LensCoat LegCoat Wraps 115 (Set of 3, Black) are designed for tripods with leg diameters of 0.75-1.18" and made out of neoprene. I would advise against modifying the material.

[0.6 lb] Although they fit on my 34mm FLM tripod, were a little too large in that the Velcro closure hung over the mating Velcro strip leaving a loose flap that was annoying. I bought some 2" sticky back insulating foam at the hardware store and applied it to the carbon fiber leg. It gave me a little more padding and made the Velcro closure line up perfectly. It seems durable and makes carrying the tripod with a 600mm lens on the camera a lot more comfortable. It also makes handling the tripod in freezing temperatures easier. 5

[12 x 8.5 x 1"] I thought they were going to be tubes that fit around the tripod leg and were secured with a Velcro closure but they are actually flat pads that wrap around the leg and seal with a full length Velcro strip. I like flat better; they are not bulky but get the job done of acting as an insulator between the cold tripod leg and my hand. They will take almost no room in my luggage. I do a lot of winter landscape shooting and will get much good use out of this purchase. 5
