The RDL RU-VCA2A 2-Channel Digitally Controlled Attenuator is a full-featured, studio-quality, dual-channel audio attenuator module for local and/or remote control of balanced or unbalanced line-level sources. This module can be remote controlled from a single or multiple locations. Rear-panel terminals provide flexible control options using a variety of remote controls or OEM equipment.

Audio levels are controlled in 0.5 dB steps using noiseless, zero-crossing digital attenuators for optimum reliability, precise tracking, and long-term, click-free service. Exceptional wide-band, low-noise performance makes this attenuator suited to level adjustment in demanding applications. Rear-panel inputs and outputs may each be wired balanced or unbalanced. The RU-VCA2A Attenuator powers up in one of 2 operating modes (MOM and 0 to 10VDC modes) set by a rear-panel switch.

Q: 2. When in "switcher" mode, what does the multiview output do? Is it possible to use this as an SDI router while also having a 10 input multiview?

A: When in switcher mode you would not have access to the Multiview output of the AVMATRIX 16-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer and Switcher. It would not be used as a multiviewer if you are using it in switcher mode.

Q: 3. Does this have stepped or continuously variable attenuation?

A: Steeped, Great attenuator

Q: 4. Does the FA 125.2 have tone controls?

A: The Ashly FA-125.2 2-Channel Installation Amplifier does not feature EQ or tone controls.

Q: 5. Is this equipment and it's power cord enabled / compatible to work in United Arab Emirates?

A: This product runs off of DC power. 24 to 33 Vdc @ 55 mA.

Q: 6. How do you input and configure tally into the unit? I don't seem to see a gpi unit anywhere so is it TSL?

A: The AVMATRIX 16-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer and Switcher (1 RU) does not have tally light support.

Q: 7. will this work for taking party line from clear com and adding a line mix out from audio board? This would be to add pgm audio to intercom for cam operaters.

A: Thank you for your question. This mixer will take 3 line level signals regardless of source and mix them down to a single line level output;

Q: 8. Are the Multiview outputs independent or provide the same output? Can SDI 1 display different layout as SDI 2 & HDMI?

A: The SDI and HDMI outputs of the AVMATRIX 16-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer and Switcher (1 RU) indicate that they would all output the same Multiview image.

Q: 9. Does this "require" phantom power?

A: No, the Audio-Technica AT8202 does not require phantom power, although it can be used with phantom power without problems.

Q: 10. Does it comes with power supply?

A: No, it does not. You will need the RDL PS-24AS.

[1.35 lb] This meter is the very best most accurate VU meter I have ever used. It is pre calibrated and requires no adjustment!!! Simply put, I have every VU Meter made and none work as well as this one. It is expensive but worth every penny. It is very well build and compact. My only complaint is really a wish, I would like to have 1/4 TRS connections, however the phoenix connections work fine as well. 5

[1.35 lb] I am very glad I purchased this converter despite of the higher prices. It performs much better than my existing converter in converting S/PDIF RCA or AES/EBU into Toslink. Sound quality is light and day. 5

[1.35 lb] I bought this from B&H in June 2014. It's now Dec 2019, and this amp is still performing flawlessly. I use it to combine 3 different audio sources into a single output that I distribute to various powered speakers throughout my house. I like that I can set the amplification for each source to make each source equal volume on the output. That way I don't have to constantly jockey the volumes when I play a new source. I also love that I don't have to switch anything around. I can play all three (or four) source at the same time if I want, or just stop one and start the other without having to touch any input switches or anything. I have my computer, my bluetooth adapter, and my record player pre-amp all on this thing, and I can easily just start playing the new source without touching anything. I love it. I have it mounted vertically behind the little table that holds the livingroom computer so if I do ever need to adjust anything, it's quick and easy. I do sometimes use the knob to adjust the volume of my record player input. 5

[1.35 lb] Overall, excellent. I only wish they offered a model with five channels, mini stereo jacks on all inputs, and have one channel with built in audio isolation transformer. Obviously, that would cost more, but then it would go from a great mixer to a perfect one. 5

[1.35 lb] I used this in a sound system that did not have an overall VU meeter. I have used it before in larger systems. Very visible. Adjustable to match VU meeter to dB level in the building. 5
