A: the front lip of the stand does protrude up , enough to keep the device in place. nothing over extended, when you have the laptop open. the front lip sits flush with the 'lid' closed. exactly flush. the finger slot is a perfect opening for you to raise the laptop 'lid'. the stand works really well with the latest MBP's.

A: The Auray LTS-DT915 Laptop Stand is approximately 2" shorter in the front than the height in the back. So if the height in the back is set at 9", the height in the front will be approximately 7".The angle is not steep.

[4.58 lb] Sturdy piece of metal! I recommend chucking the included pole adapter and combining it with a VESA monitor mount for light stands (5/8 male pin aka baby-pin). That way you have a setup that is an industry standard in BOTH the film and music industry. I even mounted a full-sized keyboard on this. I highly recommend this product. 5

[4.58 lb] Nice mixer rack but there should be an option to buy without the tables and have regular covers in the back and front. I guess I'll store them on a safe place and will have to buy front and rear covers for this in addition to the table/covers. nice and well built case otherwise. 5

[Steel] The laptop tray mount tray works perfectly. I've can now manipulate my laptop on a VESA arm just like my other monitor. It is held very securely. I am very happy with the product. I had a missing part when my product arrived. I reached out to customer service and they answered promptly, and fixed the situation promptly as well. No company is going to be immune from occasional glitches that can happen in shipping. A company with good customer service that fixes the issues quickly is to be treasured. I would be happy to do business with this company again, and will recommend it to others. 5

[4.58 lb] This case is very good quality and built to be last many years "heavy duty"! Rane one fits perfectly tucked in and is protected. Sliders work very well but overtime I'm sure you will have to put some oil spray to make them slide smooth "easy fix" Really happy with the case. Con: wish there was a handle that could pull above my waist so that it could be easier to transport with the wheels. Also, it is pretty heavy but for sure you don't have to worry about your Rane getting damaged if you ever drop this case. Definitely satisfied with product. 5
