A: I would say no. The RRS arca Swiss mount on my camera is 1.500 wide and this plate is 1.646 wide. Also the angle on this plate is more vertical than the angle of the arca swiss locking groove. However this plate will mount will attach to my arca mount giving me the option of running the lighter vanguard tripod instead of my heavy arca tripod. On the up side, this plate is really inexpensive allowing you try it out without a lot of loss. Your arca clamp may get wide enough to grip it, but my first thoughts are still gonna be no.

A: Yes, the Arca-Swiss Quick-Link Tripod Head Quick Release Set is needed in order to quickly release the Arca-Swiss Quick-Link Tripod Head Quick Release Set from the tripod legs. The Quick-Link disc mounts on the base of any tripod head, and the receiver to the mounting plate mounts on the leg set. Then simply place the head assembly into the receiver and twist the knurled, bayonet-type locking ring to secure it in place. Additional disc mounts are available, so switching heads takes just moments - making working with multiple heads quick and easy.

A: Yes, there is a locking mechanism for the Leofoto QS-45 Quick-Link Tripod Head Quick Release Set (45mm). When one drops the connecting plate on the receiver base, one then turns the ring on the receiver base clockwise to lock the plate in place. To unlock, simply turn the ring counter clockwise. This is similar to the Arca-Swiss Quick-Link but they run in different sizes. The QS-45 is 45mm and much smaller than the Arca-Swiss Quick-Link size.

[3/8"-16] This makes swapping tripod heads quick and easy. And its secure. I've had heads rotate on the mounting screw because I was unable to tighten them enough and I've struggled to remove a head to swap heads when changing from ball head to gimbal or vice versa. Previously i had to use a strap wrench to solve these problems. Now its just twist open, swap, and twist closed. 5

[2.75" / 70 mm] Do you need it? I don't know. Do you want it? Most definitely!! I was hesitant before pulling the trigger on this. I considered how lazy you'd have to be to not want to screw you tripod head onto tripod legs but in the same breath, a wise person once said "buy once, cry once" You'll wonder how you've worked without this. Comes well packaged and tools included :) 5

[3/8"-16] With both a ball head and a gimbal swapping heads is a pain. Getting them tight is a problem. This solves both those problems. 5

[4.6 x 4.5 x 2"] This Quick Link system is fantastic. For those using multiple heads, such as a video fluid head and a photo head, you can mount the plates to the bottom of each head and put the base on the tripod and lock it in tight with quick turn of the base. Just buy the corresponding size that matches your tripod base. This works great with my LeoFoto 364C Tripod and my BV-10 and G4 Tripod heads. 5

[0.45 lb] I saw this recommended to fit between my Move Shoot Move star tracker and the ballhead under my camera body. It solves the problem of the ballhead directly on the MSM coming loose as it rotates throughout the evening. I use the set screws on the undreside of the QS-50 to get a tighter connection on the MSM. So far I have been using it to do longer sub frames and for up to two hours without any problems. 5
