The Kupo Assistant Front Box Mount for Fluid Headsis a black anodized aluminum mounting plate that attaches to the front box mounting screws on cinema-style fluid heads. The plate slides over the mounting screws and has two knurled locking tubes that you twist to lock the plate in place. The knurling on the tubes helps provide you with a solid grip when tightening or loosening the plate.

The front of the mounting plate incorporates standard front box mounting screws that allow you to attach a front box to the plate. The mounting plate also features a spring-loaded safety catch that works to secure an optional Kupo front box in place.

A: A 1/4" variance would be within what is normal for the Kupo Apple Box Set (4).

A: It will not, this allows you to mount 6.6 pounds of accessories to the Mounting Block itself. It does not increase the overall capacity of the head.

[0.91 lb] Great idea from Kupo. Elinchrom flashes don't seat well on regular spigots and tend to wobble and/or seat angled to one side. With this adapter the flash head, seat tight and well on the spigot, and the fact that has a fixture you can save using a heavier grip. 5

[0.91 lb] I was refusing to spend money on a piece of wood, and it was a mistake. Also, I rarely work in studio environment. Got these for just in case on a location shoot, and used them in half of pictures as posing accessory. Excellent quality, extremely useful. The only thing I don't like is that they have a kupo sign on the side. I will have to figure out how to get rid of it and make these boxes dark. Or maybe I will get some fabric covers for boxes. 5

[0.91 lb] I have three entry level studio strobes that fit on the music stand style light stands but don't seat on the typical C Stand pin. If you have this problem you know what I mean, the socket on the light is not deep enough for the pin and the light sits at a funny angle partway on the shoulder of the pin. Looked online for a fix and the answer is to use a Monfrotto 158 union and a double ended spigot. This works well but now there are 2 more connections holding my light and modifier and it is not as stable as I would like. This is the solution to the problem. One solid adapter that my light sits on and stays where I put it. I like 4 to 5 foot octoboxes and 7 foot umbrellas so there is a lot of torque on the connection, these don't budge at all, typical Kupo quality hardware. Plus I can now mount lights at 90 degrees to the pin, something I never could before. Yes it costs me about five bucks more than what I had been using but I often stand directly under the light and modifier and so does my talent. Hardware I can really trust to keep everyone safe is worth a couple of bucks. I don't know what grade of Aluminum this is made from but it is strong and machines well. 5
