Control your Canon PTZ cameras using IP or serial control with precision controls and a touchscreen display with the Canon RC-IP100 Touchscreen PTZ Joystick Controllerfrom Canon. The controller is compatible with the Canon CR-N300 and CR-N500 PTZ cameras and allows a single operator to control up to 100 cameras from a remote location. The 7" touchscreen provides configuration and camera settings control.

The IP100 is compatible with the proprietary Canon XC IP protocol, not a standard LAN, so you can create a private, secure network to control your cameras using the LAN port. It also features a second RJ45 port that allows you to control the cameras via RS-422 serial protocol. The bright 7" touchscreen allows you to control and configure up to 100 cameras and it can create and store up to 100 presets.

The precision joystick controls fine pan and tilt movements, and on the other side of the controller is a zoom rocker, providing an ergonomic layout to control pan, tilt, and zoom simultaneously with two hands. It also features four customizable buttons and knobs to make accessing settings and controls quick and easy. The DB-9 input/output port on the back allows you to monitor camera tally information. The unit is powered using a 12V barrel power adapter.

The RC-IP100 controller provides IP control for 99 supported Canon PTZ cameras utilizing Canon's new XC protocol. Additionally, through the serial port, the CR-N500, CR-N300, and other legacy PTZ cameras that support the NU protocol can be simultaneously controlled.

It's easy to achieve smooth PTZ movements with the accuracy and responsiveness of the joystick equipped on the RC-IP100. Camera operators could be confident when making on-air movements with the responsiveness of the controller, creating an effective video production.

Control, adjust, and set Pan, Tilt, and Zoom functions smoothly, register up to 100 presets per camera, and manage trace movement, picture quality settings, and much more with the advanced RC-IP100. The trace function can store camera movements for instant recall with a push of a button. Furthermore, the controller covers a wide range of functionality and customization and is a superb option for supported Canon PTZ cameras.

The RC-IP100 Controller is equipped with a joystick, zoom lever, and large 7" LCD touch panel for intuitive operation. There are also two User and four Function buttons that are programmable for even more customization.

[100 Channels] Like other reviewers, we are using this to control our streaming camera in our sanctuary. Hook up is intuitive and so is the operation. I'm not one to read manuals, and since we only have one camera it only took about 3 minutes to set up. The only complaint I have is that I wish that there was a little more fine tuning in the joystick. Yes it is proportional, and maybe it is our camera but the difference between panning slowly and make your head spin is pretty fine. All in all, I would recommend.

[8.2 lb] So far for the last few days that I've had a chance to play around with this controller, I feel that all my controls are at my fingertips and not hidden away in menus like their other controller. Having focus control right at your fingertips and color correction is how it should've been right from the start. The speed control pods for the focus, zoom, pan and tilt are critical to work smoothly and fast. Also, using the monitor to pick your focus point right on the controller is a big help. I was able to achieve this on the old controller using an iPad with a webpage but this makes my set up way easier. Being able to use this controller as a CCU for other canon cameras is a smart decision on cannons part and helped solidify the decision to buy this unit for myself because of that reason.

[100 Channels] They got it right with this.

As a user of the RC-IP100 I found it a bit basic but functional, but this new one takes it to a whole other level.

Every control area now has dedicated knob for speed control on the fly, the feedback with the lit buttons for what is live and on preview is much clearer than the touchscreen of the 100 (Small red line)

The Joystick has a button on top which makes it great for a quick AF and the design of the joystick is more comfortable.

Touchscreen is much easier to read and faster. Shows the model number of each camera when you punch it up and the associated configuration. 300/500/700 were MUCH easier to add and configure quickly.

The HDMI out pulls the IP stream of each attached camera and display it on the attached monitor you hook to it. It is the streaming feed so a bit pixelated but it may just be I need to configure it more. we use dedicated multiview in 4K but this is a handy feature.

Larger GPIO to take advantage of more of the functionality compared to the small number on the 100 - If the 1000 could activate the REC light on XF-605's for tally this would be a welcomed update.

POWER options- if you use POE to power it, either the touchscreen or a couple of the features are limited. It does not come with the 4 Pin power supply, so if you want no limits functionality add a 4 Pin 12v power supply. It does not come with it.

One of my big questions was if I hook up both the 1000 and the 100 will they fight. And they are fully compatible being able to adjust cameras at the same time and even use the joystick and they are seamless. We can pas off cameras between them and adjust on the fly.

I wanted to add this review because we managed to get one right away, and we are so impressed with it so far. Our choice to go all Canon over the competition has alot of people jealous when we roll in.

If I can add to this later we will.

[Yes] This is a great unit and simple to operate. Touch screen controls and assignable controls make programming and on the fly operation a breeze. 100 presets guarantee that there will be plenty of pre set views for any show that you intend on streaming or broadcasting.
