A: The two spiked pins would secure the foam core to the clamp using the pre-drilled holes. The clamp then inserts into a standard grip head to hold the foam core in any position needed.

A: The clamp's range is 5 to 51mm.

A: it has 1/4 20 but I haven't had a good experience using it. The main feature is using the Hexagonal receiver which can accept various studs with 1/4 20, 3/8 -16, or 5/8 studs.

Q: 7. Does a c stand fit in this opening?

A: It's mostly meant to be dropped in Large 4.5" Grip Heads. The Kupo C-Boom Clamp for 1-1/4'' and 1-1/5'' Pipes has T-Slotted Ear for mounting. It holds Holds 1-1/4" and 1-1/5" Boom Poles, due to some C-stands made different - you will need to measure your stand to be exact about fitting.

A: These are fixed.

A: both rotary moving tighteners (if that's what you mean by knobs ) are indeed metal. They are, as I read another response, built like a tankoutstanding product.

A: The two superclamps have a fixed position.

[0.15 lb] It does not have a clamping mechanism a duckbill clamp but the two attached pins hold foam core pretty well. It needs to be used with a grip head. I have attached a photo of it. Any medium-duty or heavier light stands or c stands will work. 5

[Aluminum] I would rather have this in Mathews or Manfrotto, but the Kupo version utilizes a repositionable lever, which is handy, so this is my second one. 5

[0.15 lb] I used these in school, mainly in the studio. Attaches to the baby stud on various stands to hold backgrounds and light shapers. Very strong and versatile. On par with the Manfrotto Super-Clamp. They can be used alone on the top of a stand or two can be connected with a hex joining stud (keeps the clamps from rotating after joined) to have a super-strong double-clamp, settable at various angles to each other, capable of holding large dowels, rod stock (for holding theatrical draperies), large light shapers, studio props, etc.. These are very useful in giving you more mounting options with building a set. There is also a captive safety pin in the base to keep the clamp from coming off the stud should the thumbscrew become loose. 5

[Aluminum] I love this thing. This tool allows me to rig up stuff way more easily. Opens a whole door of possibilities. I've been able to put a camera 10 feet up in the air with a c-stand with this for a music video. I've been able to rig up a microphone on my tripod to make a more compact rig and use one less light stand. 5

[Aluminum] This one has a ratcheted moveable handle which is why I buy it over the other brand from Italy. Hint hint. Far suppior design in my opinion. Buy it. Don't look back. 5
