Print everything from everyday documents to lab-quality photos and graphics with the Epson EcoTank ET-8550 All-in-One Supertank Printerfrom Epson. Featuring an economical cartridge-free printing system, this printer offers low-cost replacement ink bottles without sacrificing print quality. Each replacement ink bottle set is equivalent to approximately 100 individual ink cartridges. The ET-8550 lets you print everything from 3.5 x 5" to 13 x 19" borderless photos to customized CDs and DVDs. A six-color Claria ET Premium Ink system delivers vibrant colors and sharp text for all your creative projects, and you can even print on cardstock and other media up to 1.3mm thick.

A 4.3" color touchscreen offers fast and easy performance and voice-activated printing is supported as well. Mobile-ready, you can print, scan, and more with the Epson Smart Panel app, which lets you monitor and operate your printer directly from your iOS or Android mobile device. Additionally, a SD card slot and USB port are provided for direct printing. [Inkjet] I wanted a tank printer ever since they came out, and finally pulled the trigger on this one because non-photo printers are inconsistent and expensive for photos. This printer just works perfectly. It is simple to use, and the prints are beautiful. I ordered Epson photo papers from B&H to make sure anything that went wrong with a photo was not the fault of the paper or printer, and I couldn't be happier. Don't take my word for how awesome this printer is... look at the reviews by Keith Cooper on Youtube. That's what helped me make up my mind and I love this printer! 5

[Yes] As far as I am concerned this is a great printer. Print quality in my opinion is terrific. I have had two other photo quality printers, one did up to 13 x 19 but had 8 small cartridges that didn't last long and cost about $16.00 each. Had another larger printer that could do 17 x as long as you wanted 8 cartridges at about $75.00 each. Both were great printers but were the prints that much better, matter of opinion. Bottom line the OEM ink for this Epson is affordable. If you can't afford the ink you can't print but that is not a problem with this printer. Have had it about two months and I am impressed. 5

[25 to 400%] Very nice printer. Replacing an Epson Stylus 1400 that finally died. This seems to have produce excellent quality color prints but also does excellent b&w photos as well as functioning as a day to day printer and scanner. 5

[Color] I’ve been printing on a friend’s 8550 and finally got one of my own. Love this printer. It deserves 5 stars but the setup was somewhat of a headache. I left one bit of the packing wedges in the printer and when I tried to do the setup from the LCD screen it failed (as it should). I removed the wedge but the printer would not setup. It routinely failed following Step 2.2. (After selecting the language and before filling the ink tanks) Extremely frustrated after multiple tries of checking for more packing debris, tray out of alignment etc , I took a break. Then ... before calling support I decided to use the Epson Smart Panel App -- thinking maybe it would give me a visual of the problem. Turned out there was no problem. I guess there was something interrupting the manual sequence. Anyway it was super easy to follow the App. The downside is it should work from the LCD screen. 5

[Color] Setup straight forward. Ink transfer was easy with no problems and no mess. The paper trays are tricky to use. Be careful your chair isn’t in the way when the output tray opens up. The Epson software is a bit disappointing. Not very user friendly. Overall a pretty good eco friendly solution to cartridges. The printer makes beautiful pictures on all sorts of paper finishes. I recommend this printer. 5

[Flatbed Scanner] I have had my Epson ET-8550 for over 1 1/2 years. It has performed excellently, both in Black & White and in color (including photos). It was easy to set up and I'm still on my original ink! 5
