  • The charging stations enable remote power monitoring via Shure's Wireless Workbench software.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a G4 Receiver with 558-626MHz. Can I use the GW1 Transmitter with 558-608MHz?

A: Yes, you can use your G4 receiver with the Sennheiser SKP 500 G4 Pro Wireless Plug-On Transmitter GW1: (558 to 608 MHz) but you will be limited in the frequency channels that you can use to sync the transmitter and receiver. It is always recommended to use a transmitter and receiver in the same frequency band, for the most available frequency channels and best results.

Q: 2. Is the G4 (470-558MHz) compatible with an Ek100 G3 receiver (516-558MHz)?

A: Hi Brite - the two series are absolutely compatible as long as they are in the same range. As the AW+ range (470-448 MHz) transmitter extends beyond the lower frequencies of the A range EK 100 G3, you won't get the full benefit the transmitter is capable of for tuning, but you'll be able to scan with your EK 100 G3 and sync to the new SK 300 G4. Please note that the frequency presets will be different, though this isn't an issue when it comes to scan/sync capabilities.

Q: 3. Will this microphone work with the Sennheiser L 2015 Charger?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser L2015G2 Charging Station, BH #SEL2015G2 is the appropriate charger for this transmitter, with the Sennheiser BA 2015G2 Rechargeable Battery Pack, BH #SEBA2015G2 installed.

Q: 4. Am I able to use the lectrosonics IFB to tune into this transmitter? I didn't see an IFB mode.. just DHCT and DUET mode.

A: This unit is not compatible with the IFB model receivers. For an IFB receiver, you'd need a version of their IFBT4 transmitters in the corresponding frequency as the receiver. Such as this B&H # LEIFBT421.

Q: 5. Could I connect 2 of these (in the same frequency bank) to the Sony URX-P41D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver?

A: Yes, dual Sony UTX-M40 Wireless Handheld Cardioid Microphone Transmitters can be used with the Sony URX-P41D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver simultaneously if all components are on the same frequency band.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the URX-P03D (stereo) receiver?

A: Yes,as lomg as both are in the same frequency bank and tuned to the same frequency.

Q: 7. I have the Sennheiser EW 112P G3-B Omni-directional EW system. Will this work with the G3 receiver?

A: Hi Brian - while Evolution Wireless G4 is backward compatible with EW G3, the products need to operate within the same frequency range. Your current product is the EW 112P G3 in the B-Range, which is 626-668MHz and the AW+ range of this SKP 500 is 470 - 558MHz, so they wouldn't be compatible. The larger issue is that the FCC has effectively banned wireless devices in the 600MHz range, effective July 13, 2020 - to help offset the costs of transitioning to new, legal devices, Sennheiser is offering a rebate on the trade-in of 600MHz products and the EW 112P G4 sets are also on sale through the end of April 2020 at B&H.

Q: 8. Is it possible to use this only as a recording device, and just have TC and rec Start/Stop over bluetooth?

A: Yes, the Audio Ltd. A10-TX-US Wireless Transmitter and Recorder can be used as a standalone recording device, without transmitting a wireless audio signal to a receiver.

Q: 9. WHAT RECEIVER DO I NEED FOR THIS?

A: Ideally you will get the EK500 receiver (for portable/camera work) or the EM500 for rack mount). It is also compatible with the 100 and 300 EW Evolution receivers, but in that case, not all frequencies of the transmitter will be available on the receiver. If you want it for camera work, this transmitter is also sold as a kit with a receiver, or as a kit with a receiver, body pack transmitter, MKE2 lav. Item# SEEW500BG4G1 and Item# SEEW500FILM1

Q: 10. Does this unit only provide limited frequency spectrum (15 Hz to 11.3 kHz)? I would like to use this as a compact IEM wireless solution but am concerned I wouldn't be able to hear my mix with fidelity after investing so much in this kit. I almost ordered this before catching the limited spec as there are no other body pack-sized (transmitter) solutions on the pro market for wireless IEM. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

A: The DCHT, like the M2T rack unit, provides 20 - 12 kHz audio frequency response with the M2R receiver. Although on paper that appears quite limited, the impression upon listening to it is that everything is there. By far most of the energy in a mix is between 50 Hz and 10 kHz, with harmonics extending above that. I would suggest giving it a listen and decide for yourself. If you have already used the M2T and M2R combination, then you are hearing the same thing you would hear with the DCHT and M2R.

[48 kHz / 24-Bit] I purchased this product recently for group activities, so it is the beauty in your hand in terms of a clean, crispy, high-quality sound without getting into trouble with wires. What I liked a lot about this wireless system is that there is no latency when talking, and it also has excellent range when receiving the signals, giving freedom to move when talking.

[48 kHz / 24-Bit] One of our mics disappeared the day before an important event. B&H had the unit in stock, and I was able to pick it up on my way home! These mics are sturdy, easy to use and sync with the multiple receivers in our facility, and we can get good levels before feedback.

[Proprietary] First unit arrived DOA but B&H send me a new one super fast (thanks B&H). Great sound quality and great RF performance in a noisy spectrum. I love the sync feature and encryption. The only cons: the battery compartment is very delicate and you have to be very careful not to brake the small door.

[Gooseneck Base] No need to set gain. Wide RF range. And a low price for a transmitter.

[IR] Just used four of these on a show and they performed beautifully.

Super easy to use, great battery life with NiMh AAs and they sound excellent. Easily got 7 hours on 10mw, probably around 3-4 on 35mw but 10mw is more than enough for most situations, and when I had to use 35mw mode, the extra output power really makes a difference so changing batteries a few times is fine with me.

The automatic gain is no joke, it just works to the point where I even forgot about, I just kept rolling and only had to touch the gain on my mixer. You never hear any artifacts or pumping and the dynamics of the speakers voice are always naturally preserved, it really feels like the gain knob is being adjusted in real time as opposed to any sort of compression or limiting.

The only thing I would knock it for is it's size, it's pretty big (think same thickness as a G4 but a little taller), which makes it tough for some outfits for narrative work, but I'm not going to take a star off because it's built like a tank and feels like you could hammer a nail in with it.

It's also significantly cheaper than any other transmitter from any other system. That means you can break into the Axient ecosystem very affordably (relatively speaking) and get the performance you need even if it means having to do an ankle rig.

If you can go for the ADX1 or ADX1M, I would say go for it, but considering the price difference, the AD1s are a fantastic choice.

[25 kHz] We have been using the Shure QLXD series for quite a while with very good results in our Sanctuary. With the receivers displaying battery life it helps to keep an eye on what needs charging. We use the Shure rechargeable batteries too.

[64 MHz] Thank you B&H for your products, and discounts on items, this digital system is very helpful when one travels from place to place that is city to city and in different types of buildings, this system allows you to use the best available frequencies because it can very easily search out available frequencies to be used and it really cuts down on the set up time, it also is great for linking many transmitters for multiple users like in traveling singing groups. Again thank you for you discounts which allows less well known travelers to be able to obtain great professional equipment at lower cost which is a real benefit to us
