The light has a 50° beam spread with the standard reflector that can be further tweaked with the 4-way barndoors so you can illuminate areas you want while keeping light from areas you don't. An optional 23 to 66° zoom lens offers greater control. The light has a color temperature of 5600K, making it suitable for shooting outdoors or in spaces with large windows.  It also has a high CRI/TLCI rating of 95/95 for accuracy in color rendition. The PopSpot draws just 50W of current while outputting many times that number with negligible heat, allowing you to squeeze it into places where traditional fixtures can't go, or to place it close to the talent without discomfort. The light is also dimmable from 10 to 100% and maintains consistent power throughout the dimming range, and while you can make these adjustments locally on the fixture, you can also make them from a distance with the wireless remote control.

The PopSpot is ready for worldwide use via the multi-voltage power supply but it can also run on an optional V-mount battery via the light's battery plate, or two NP-F batteries with an optional cradle. A case for storage and transport is included.

The PopSpot v.2 has a constant daylight 5600K balanced color temperature and is dimmable from 10-100% power while maintaining a CRI/TLCI rating of 95/95, providing faithful and accurate color rendition. The negligible heat created by the COB LEDs allows you to squeeze the PopSpot v.2 into tight places or work up close to your subject without the concern of hazard or discomfort. The PopSpot v.2 features an integrated PWM circuit for constant, flicker-free light that is great for slow-motion and high frame rate videography.

For added versatility the PopSpot's adjustable spot focus feature is now removable so standard light modifiers can be used too. The optional adjustable Zoom Lens (FL65, 23-66° with Profoto Mount included in the Deluxe Kit version and sold separately for later upgrade to the Basic Kit) offers you the adjustment from a wider 66° flood beam or to be focused down to a 23° spot for selective lighting or sharp-shadowed sunlight effects. The 4-way barndoors illuminate areas you want while keeping light from areas you don't. You can easily add color gels or diffusion materials for softness using the integrated filter slot in the barndoors. The barndoors can be removed from the Zoom Lens revealing a Profoto style accessory mount, allowing you to use your favorite light modifiers such as reflectors, snoots, or softboxes with the adjustable spot focus ability.

The PopSpot v.2 is powered by standard AC current, but it can also be powered via two NP-F batteries or a V-lock battery with the optional battery cradle, charger, and D-Tap cable (included in the Deluxe Kit), making it great for any sort of location work. A custom carrying case is included for easy storage and transport.

The PopSpot's light intensity can be controlled locally on the fixture or remotely via the remote control.
