Made from durable, tear-resistant, seamless canvas, it has a nonreflective matte finish and a light texture that closely emulates the feel of a classic painted surface. A: I think that much weight would be a challenge, and is more than I would want to trust for safe and dependable support, especially if it is eight or nine feet above the floor. Whether you are photographing a person or persons, or a product or products, that amount of load on stands and a crossbar is more than I would choose to elevate eight or nine feet.

[Mottled Brown] I love this backdrop and if you keep it rolled on/in it's tubes for transport and storage it will remain smooth without a wrinkle. It is very light, transportable and easily/quickly set up. As long you can transport the 8 foot tube, you are good to go. I love the minimal gray "smooth concrete" pattern. Light the backdrop using a strobe or speedlight with colored gel and you get a great colored background with bit of texture. Or, use it simply as a lightly textured gray backdrop. I highly recommend this backdrop! 5

[4.5 lb] Quality fabric, it's lite and easy to store in the original roll-up tube. It's getting a workout for portraiture and still life. 5

[1x Storage Tube] This is a great and easy way to create a backdrop to add some creativity to my headshots and portrait sessions. The X-Drop system makes this quick and easy to setup and very portable. I also have the same backdrop but they vinyl version. I like the canvas version a bit better but they photograph virtually the same. If asked me between the two which to get I would say the canvas but it also depends on your situation. The canvas does not completely block like coming through the back, but that's easily taken care of with camera settings and lighting the backdrop from the front. 5

[1x Storage Tube] Excellent backdrop stand. The original X-Drop was well designed but extremely flimsy, too easy to accidentally break. This new one the pro hits that sweet spot where it is still very lightweight but also robust. As an added bonus it also takes Westcott's new line of wider backdrops designed for the new pro model (as well as the prior backdrops). One of the components was damaged in shipping, but still usable. I sent a copy of my B&H order to Westcott and explained the problem. They Fedex'd to me a replacement component that arrived within a couple of days. Excellent customer service. Very highly recommended. 5

[4.5 lb] I have two other Westcott X-Drop backgrounds (black and gray). Unless I'm going to do extensive background replacement, this is now my go-to backdrop. It's sturdy, rolls up easily and is non-reflective. so long as you roll it instead of folding, it is wrinkle free. It works as well outdoors or in the studio. If I should need more than the 5-foot width, it can be easily expanded in Photoshop. I love it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good headshot/portrait backdrop. 5

[1x Storage Tube] From the moment I first opened the tube to the moment I first saw the backdrop in its full glory on the stand, I knew that I'd made the right purchase.
