Q: 9. me and my movie

A: I have the very latest Mac OSX 10.13.4 and the Kensington software only allows the 2.4GHz receiver to be used, Bluetooth is not available. In addition, the 2.4GHz receiver has trouble during wakeup if the Mac has been 'sleeping', many times my receiver needs to be unplugged/replugged so the Mac OS can find it again, this is a pain in the neck. I have called Kensington Support and all they could suggest was to put new batteries in the Expert Mouse, of course that made zero difference. I have been a USB Expert Mouse Trackball user for over 10 years but this model does not work right with Mac's. The Trackball software and Expert Mouse are flawed, don't waste your money.

[24 Months] Trust Logitech from many previous purchases. When I went ergo they were my first choice. This one does the job and the price was right.

[Mac, Windows] I purchased this mouse because I have carpal tunnel. My hand feels much better. It does take some time to get used to working with the trackball, but I'm getting the hang of it.

[24 Months] I have owned Logitech trackball mouses since 2000. Most I loved, a few I used but recognized some issues. In general, I consider a thumb based trackball mouse to be the best out there. It uses a thumb which can rotate in any direction and is built for fine motor skills unlike the wrist driven mice.

Here's why I like this particular mouse and call it the best I've ever had:
1. Everything is well built and works without issues. The ball itself swivels easily. It's easy to clean. The buttons work. It sticks to the desk and doesn't move
2. Bluetooth is a dream. It connects easily to my Mac and stays connected. It's just rock solid in that way.
3. Battery life is long. I have usually forgotten the last time I replaced the battery by the time I swap in a new pair. I was a bit worried because I wanted to use bluetooth and Logitech warns that bluetooth connections consume more battery than their proprietary connector
4. It's easy to use Mac config to set tracking speed, scrolling speed, and double click speed.

Overall, this is the best mouse I've owned.

[Plastic] It uses less space than moving a regular mouse. It took me a bit to get the knack of using it, but it is second nature for me now.

[Yes] I had to replace a much older Logitech trackball for my wife's laptop. I have used Logitech trackballs for years because they are easy to connect and comfortable. The new white color fits my wife's desk setup perfectly.

[Mac, Windows] I was disappointed to learn that logitech had discontinued the M570 trackball, but the M575 is even better. It has built-in bluetooth or dongle (usb) connectivity.

[400 to 2000] I've read some people will go to great lengths to purchase the now-defunct M570, this mouse's precursor. I like my M570, but this one feels every bit as comfortable in the hand.

The M570's greatest strength was it was a workhorse. I used mine for 5+ years, and it never had any issues. I got this mouse because the bluetooth was needed for my MacBook without a USB-A port. So far, so good, but we'll see if the longevity is as good as the M570.

One word of caution for someone who's never tried a trackball-style mouse... it's not for everyone! If you do very precise work--such as 3-D modeling or graphic design--this one takes some getting used to.
