Q: 1. Do the legs, at least the lower sections, have measurement markings?

      A: No.

Q: 2. I purchased one of these and the top came with a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter already installed. However, I cannot remove the adapter so that I can use it to mount a camera with a 1/4" screw mount. Has anyone else had this problem?

A: Yes, the threaded stud has a spring loaded 3/8" collar, when pressed down, reveals a 1/4-20" thread.

Q: 3. Can I use a wimberly side kick with this?

A: The Wimberley Arca Sidekick Ball to Gimbal Head Adapter needs to be used on a ball head that has an Arca-style quick-release clamp. The Manfrotto MT190CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod does not include a ball head. You could add the Oben BC-166 Ball Head to the tripod then they could use the Wimberley Arca Sidekick. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3ZMirv1.

      Q: 4. What type/support of a tripod is this, a 0 or 1?

A: If you are referring to Gitzo Series 0 or 1, this one has the same top leg diameter as the 1 series (25 mm). The 0 series has 21 mm legs. (I don't own it, just from the spec sheets of both)

Q: 5. What is the outside diameter of each of the carbon fiber tubes?

A: One section of the Sunwayfoto ET-01 Carbon Fiber Tripod Extension Tube is 24mm in diameter, and the other section is 20mm in diameter.

Q: 6. What is the folded diameter?

A: The widest folded diameter would be at the head which would be 5".

Q: 7. The unit ships with a 3/8" adapter and acorn nut installed on the top section. How do you remove the 3/8" threaded adapter on the top section to expose the 1/4"x20 threaded post?

A: The top thread on the Sunwayfoto ET-01 Carbon Fiber Tripod Extension Tube is reversible. One side is 3/8th inch and the other is 1/4 inch.

Q: 8. What is the folded length?

A: The Sunwayfoto T2540CT Traveler-Series Reverse Folding Carbon Fiber Tripod Folds down to 17.7" / 45 cm.

Q: 9. Will an RRS BH-40 Ball Head fit on this tripod?

A: The Sunwayfoto T3240CS comes with an embedded, non-end-user-removable ballhead. You can technically mount the RRS's BH40 on top of that, but that's highly irregular and not recommended.

Q: 10. Does the low angle adapter come with the tripod as standard, or does it need to be purchased separately? I am buying this tripod solely because it will reach my eye height WITHOUT the center column raised. I don't want a centre column at all, in other words.

A: Manffotto low angle adapters are usually sold separately. It is not included in the box with this tripod.

[4] I now own five(5) of these travel tripods. I purchased them for use with small 65mm Spotting Scopes for a Youth Birding Program, and Demo use. (I am a part time Birding Guide.) So far these tripods have worked out very well. Light and compact, and fairly easy for kids, and teens to carry around.Unfortunately the most recent one’s I purchased have cost me $30.00 more each than the original ones I purchased from B&H last year!. Personally; i feel they have gone up TOO much in price! Obviously I like them. Fortunately; I now have all I need. But, at the current price. I’m glad I don’t need anymore. Because I’m not willing to pay the increase in cost of them. [When B&H has Sales on Benro-Induro carbon fiber tripods? They are just as good, If not better!
And they are less money!] It’s unfortunate they raised the price so much on these nice Sunwayfoto travel tripods! Only you can determine weather the cost increase is worth purchasing one?

[Yes] It is everything it says it is, I am using it to support and extend over the wind shield a Gimbal Mount on my ATV.

[4] Really nice tripod. It locks in a 22lb precision rifle no problem and holds it rock solid. The quick release levers are very convenient. The ball head is a little smaller than I expected but it's still really strong. If you can afford it I'd recommend spending and extra $110 and getting the master series with a 65 IB head.

[Carbon Fiber] In Florida we do a lot of bird photography in nature centers like Wakodahatchee or Green Cay. Basically boardwalks with guard rails through swampy areas. I screw the top of tube directly into the foot of my long lenses, adjust the lenght and place the bottom of the adjustable extension tube on top of the railing to provide substantial support for the considerable weight of the Nikon D850 with battery grip, with long lenses like my 600mm f/4 and 1.4 XT/c. For prolonged shooting at stationary subjects ( like nesting or courting birds) it provides a much more stabile support than a monopod and is certainly more maneuverable than either a monopod or tripod. I leave the tube attached while I walk around the boardwalk. Of course, it depends on how tall you are. At 6' it is ideal for me, but the tube would be too long for someone considerable shorter. Also I found inserting a rubberized foot on the bottom of the tube increased the stability of the rig. I use an extra rubber foot from a RRS tripod that screws directly into the bottom of the tube, but anything from a hardware store would do. I think you will find this will work if you do similar shooting.

[Yes] I'm 6'4 and need a little bit of help, and this pier extension is just right. Tightens up nicely, sturdy and adjustable.

[7.605 lb] It is a sturdy tripod & I am very happy with its quality. The extension of legs and 1/4 turn-twist locking system is very good.

I just have a small issue with the rubber feet - it came loose while I was using it & I lost it. You will need to tighten it well.
