[360°] If given the choice between using an app and using a physical remote for motion control products, I'll pick the remote. This Edelkrone remote does exactly what I need it to do.


I primarily use it with my slider and it's easy to set positions and parameters such as speed and easing.
When I have repeating movement in a shoot, I can quickly get up and running through this remote and not have to worry about doing it through an app. The user interface is uncomplicated, though there is a small learning curve.


One thing to note about this remote: it's quite thick. The first product pic doesn't really show the size. It's almost an inch thick! Also, it's made out of metal and weighs about 4 ounces. This remote doesn't feel cheaply made, and you'll definitely know if it's in your pocket or not! In an era of barely-there cheap plastic remotes, the Edelkrone Controller stands out. I just wish it was half as thick. Then again, this feels built to last.


I'd recommend it for anyone with Edelkrone gear who wants a simple controller that feels well built.

Game Changer!

[360°] I have been shooting timelapse photography for nearly 8 years now. I had always wanted a 3 axis motion system, but always found the price and weight prohibitive.

Well, I came to a point where it was the last piece missing from my kit and I began to do a lot of research. Kessler, Emotimo, and then I came across the Cinetics system from a fellow timelapser online.

The price was reasonable compared to other brands, and the weight and setup both looked to be significantly better.

I ordered the system, and was very impressed with the quality of the materials (carbon fiber!!!). I set it up and found that the control unit did not fire my camera. I was a disappointed, but had heard that the team at Cinetics provided great customer service. This was an UNDERSTATEMENT.

I emailed Justin at Cinetics, and within hours was in the process of resolving my issue. they sent me a new control unit within days, and I was good to go.

The system performs for both Timelapse and video flawlessly. The timelapse sequences I captured on a recent trip with the Lynx�https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grNtKysPQcQ are some of the best I have been able to get in years!

If you are looking for a 3 axis slider system, and don't want to break the bank, this is definitely the way to go!

[2.1 lb] So over apps in general. This remote comes in clutch. Very easy to use and most of all reliable. Who has time to waste fiddling with yet another app on set?

[2.1 lb] The Edelkrone Controller V2 is much better than the first version, which dropped out frequently, and required re-initialization of the gimbal. It is better than the iPhone app for both range and ease of control. It turns off (partially) to save the battery, but reactivates without requiring re-pairing. It runs on a pair of AA batteries, for many hours, and doesn't drain the batteries when not in use.

[2.1 lb] The edelkrone Turntable has proven to be a great addition to my video production equipment, more precisely using it on a cooking show. I needed something to add a more dynamic feel on our Season 2 episodes, so to highlight the final food product, the Turntable, paired with the edelkrone SliderOne v2 has taken my video production to another professional level. I feel I made a great decision investing in the Turntable for my current project.

[360°] I've been using the Edelkrone app for the past year. Decided to pick this up when buying the kit with the jib and headone v2 + Pan Pro. Long story short, I'm so glad I did. You would think the app would be faster but to be honest this remote, once you learn the interface, is much faster and more reliable. I have had zero downtime when using this remote. The app can sometimes hang up and not connect each component. Not so with the remote. Everything connects seamlessly and stays connected. Highly recommended and would buy again in a heartbeat.
