The integrated folding handle design of the Sony 400mm f/2.8 GM Lens Cap by Don Zeckallows you to quickly install or remove it when traditional snap-on lens caps are too awkward and slow to keep up with sports or action shooting. Regular lens caps can be challenging to use with deep lens hoods, but these rigid plastic protective caps can be used with the hood in the active or stored position, or even without the hood at all. When you're ready to shoot just pull the cap off by its handle and you're ready to go.

The lens cap is held in place using six O-rings, which provide a tight, perfect fit without touching the lens surface or damaging your lens.

[Snap-On] Canon should give it with their super telephotos, but they don't so buy it at the same time. Unbelievable that a small company makes a better, and cheaper cap than Canon, a major camera manufacturer 5

[Plastic] It's a snug fit and will definitely protect the lens. Only issue is it makes the lens a tight fit in the case. Other than that, it's the best lens cap I've seen. 5

[Proprietary] The ease of use of this great fitting cap contributed to getting the photos I needed for a golf tournament. Moving around the course and changing lenses can result in a lot of missed shots if time is wasted. I don't like to leave my expensive glass open to the wind, dust , sand , water, etc and using the Nikon supplied cover or just towel covers takes time or makes for unsatisfactory protection. This lens cap is quick and easy to remove and put on the lens and has a sturdy, true fit. It doesn't matter if the lens covers are on or off, the attachment of this cover remains simple and easy. The cover is very sturdy and does not touch the glass at all. The handle is very flexible and fits withe the lens into the case as if it was made for it. So changing lenses but protecting my lens investment became a non-issue . 5

[0.39 lb] This is a really nice, tough lens cap to protect the front element of the Nikon 400 f2.8 lens. This can be put on with the lens hood attached, or used as a lens cap without the lens hood. IMHO this is a must for anyone that carries this lens on their back, or in a pack. 5

[Front] Easy to install and stays put. Had switched to a Tupperware lid from canon's cover....This is much much better. You can use it with or without the lens shade, in both cases ...easy on and off. Only a slight issue is that I store it vertical on the lens and with the handle you must lean it against something to stand upright. Nice fitting product..you will like it 5
