[powerCON Male] This was my first experience with a PowerCON connector. I was impressed with the construction and the ease of assembly. Note that you need a T8 torx screwdriver to assemble this. I did not know that and was fortunate to be able to find one. It's not a real common size.

[powerCON Male] These connectors are perfect for transferring electrical energy between power supplies and amplifiers. The items I required were in stock and sold to me at a better price than the big store competetors. Shipping didn't cost me a dime (coast to coast at that!) and came with expedient delivery. I will purchase additional product in the future.

[powerCON Male] Although I have used many products with Neutrik powerCon connectors, this is the first time I have needed to fabricate cables with them. After downloading the assembly instructions, assembly was easy. If you follow the insulation stripping specifications, and use cable lubricant as recommended, the process is easy. A+

[powerCON Male] Provides a tight, securely locked connection with the female powerCon connecter. I use these to power network equipment installed in a Pelican case. Neutrik has CAD dxf and pdf drawings on their site if you need to drill holes in a surface for installation. I used their drawings to make a 3D printed stencil/jig for this purpose. For the screw holes, I use a 1/8 drill bit for machine screws w/ nuts, but go smaller if using a pointed/self-tapping screw. For the main entrance hole, I start with a 1/8 bit for a pilot hole, widen it with a 1/2 bit, then finally bore it all the way out with a 22mm step bit which makes a perfectly sized hole for this connector. For screws, M3 countersink (90deg) are an exact flush fit in the connector housing. I use black oxide screws to match the connector. The backside conductor tabs snap right into female quick connect terminals. I use the heat-shrink solder terminals and they stay on pretty well. If you need it to be really secure, consider soldering the terminals onto the tabs , but be careful not to melt the plastic!

Overall great connector. Used these to make my own Quasar T-12
power connectors. Saved a ton of money doing it myself.

Just be careful. If you put it together, like I did, just to see how it works, you have to use some vise grip pliers to unscrew it.

It has a ratchet locking mechanism to prevent it from unscrewing.
You'll have to probably reset the metal spring washer, but it's no big deal. This information was hard to find on line.

[12 AWG] It's the exact same piece that comes with the Ultima Gen 2 to begin with. Just adds an extra 12 of reach.

Only thing to be mindful of is because of the added force of the lengthened arm is slightly less smooth in the extension section than it would be without it since the pin is being pulled away from its center. The smoothness of the arm after the extension is unaffected it's just the extension arm into the mount point that feels a bit less smooth.

[12 AWG] I often have to use these type of adapters in the theatre to take standard plugs to a plug that will work with ETC lighting systems on dimmers. This did the trick. The product arrived quickly. Their customer service was excellent.

[powerCON Male] You'll need a T8 torx bit and cable lube/jelly, but installation is quick and easy. The Neutrik HTAC tool is nice for getting everything tight, but you can hand tighten it sufficiently as long as you get the back bushing part over the O-ring in the middle to properly seal it. Detailed instructions can be found on Neutrik's website.
I use these to modify extension cords to power equipment in a Pelican case mounted with the male inlet Neutrik port that these connect to. I find it's an uncommon enough connector that the cables are less likely to walk away to be used for something else. It locks in solidly. I've installed dozens and I haven't had an issue with one yet.
