Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a longer version of this cable? Or a way to extend? I'm trying to use this with DJI Osmo Mobile and it is too short and restricts the movement of the gimbal.

A: I use this with the regular Osmo where the phone is the monitor. Unfortunately, I think any cable you try and use directly with the phone on the gimbal is not going to work because it will mess up the balance, even if it is longer.

Q: 2. Are these shielded against RF interference?

A: These are not ballanced cables and can be susceptibe to RF issues.

Q: 3. Work with rode videomicro to camera or phone?

A: No, the SC10 cable is not compatible with the VideoMicro which has a standard 3.5mm TRS output. The SC10 will work with the VideoMic NTG. For the VideoMicro, you can use the Rode SC7 (B&H # ROSC7) which has a standard 3.5mm TRS connector on one side and connects to the mic's output and a 3.5mm TRRS connector on the other side to connect to a smartphone. The cable that comes with the VideoMicro is the SC2 (B&H # ROSC2) and it has standard 3.5mm TRS connectors on both ends, This is the cable to use for connecting the VideoMicro to cameras and recorders.

Q: 4. Can this be used with Android devices such as Galaxy Note 4 or Galaxy Tab S2?

A: Yes it can be use.

Q: 5. ok thenim not gonna be able to record from my smartphone then because ive tried with a trs to trs cable and what i get is so quiet you can barely hear it after its recorded.?

A: This cable is designed to take the audio output from a saramonic wireless receiver and send it to the input of a smartphone.

Q: 6. Will this work with a Zoom H1 output. Into a OnePlus One?

A: Probably - but no guarantees when it comes to Android based products.

Q: 7. will this work with a cell phone?

A: It depends what it is being used for, but TRRS is usually for a cell phone

Q: 8. Hello, Can I use this with 2016 MacBook Pro running Mojave? I would like to use my Rode Video mic go. Thank you

A: Yes you can use the Rode SC7 cable with a Rode Videomic Go into a Macbook Pro.

Q: 9. will this work with a Camera as well? Particularly a Sony Mirrorless microphone input?

A: This cable is specifically made to take a typical TRS 3.5mm mic and convert it to connect to a TRRS mic input on a mobile device. It would not be appropriate to connect this adapter cable to a camera, and I cannot guarantee that it will work for that purpose.

Q: 10. To use this cable with a modern iphone, you must use the apple lightning adapter (no 3.5mm jack in an iphone) - is this a barrier? I am getting no sound when recording video with an iphone, and since this is supposed to work with iOS, I assume the adapter is the issue? If so, are we expected to use iphones from 8 years ago for this to work?

A: The SC7 cable has 3.5mm TRS and 3.5mm TRRS connectors. The TRRS connector is compatible for use with mobile devices and can be combined with the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) to connect with iPhones that use a Lightning port. For iPads and Android devices that have a USB-C port, the SC7 can be combined with the Apple USB Type-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APMU7E2AMA). When the SC7 was originally introduced, Apple was still using a 3.5mm TRRS jack on the iPhone and the cable does work with Android devices that use TRRS. If you want to use one cable to connect directly from a 3.5mm TRS output to a Lightning port, you can use the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Audio Cable (B&H # APLMADAP) or Comica Audio CVM-D-SPX(MI) 3.5mm TRS Male to Lightning Output Cable for Audio to iPhone (B&H # COCVMDSPXMI). Both will allow recording from an external microphone or wireless mic system.

[0.045 lb] I needed a mini HDMI to HDMI to go from my monitor which sits on top my Canon 5D Mark 2 into the camera. The one I had before was stretching slightly and after a couple months, something must have broke in it because it was stretching too much and it didn't work anymore. This cord is a perfect length, not stretching too much or getting in the way of anything and the flexibility of the swiveling ends is perfect. Great price and product and perfect if connecting from an onboard monitor to a DSLR.

[0.045 lb] This is exactly what I was hoping for. It's short and works great with the monitor and camera. I like the flexibility in having the cable rotate. Great use for me.

[Black] I needed a right angle micro HDMI to connect an Atomos Ninja to my Canon R5. I don't like the location of the micro HDMI slot on the R5 as it is really easy to bend it to the point it becomes nonfunctional. (I've only had the camera 6 months and I've already bent two cable connections to the point they are unusable.) This right angle cable, along with a cable cage as solved that problem.

[0.045 lb] The flexibility to bend is a life saver. So far it hasn't failed on me (2 weeks).

[Black] I primarily use the Pearstone Mini cable with my Zoom. It's the perfect length to not get in the way of anything else. I haven't had any issues with it and it seems durable enough to take some wear and tear over time. I also tried hooking a mic up to my cell phone and it worked great there too. I'd definitely need a little bit longer cable to use that practically but just testing it it worked great.

[Black] I use this to connect my Lilliput field monitor to my Canon 5D Mark 3. I like it so much I'm ordering another one for backup. The cable comes out towards the rear of the 5D3. Perfect for my setup.

[0.045 lb] Bought this after a trying and giving up on two longer HDMI to HDMI mini cables with straight connectors. As most everyone knows, the HDMI connection can be a real problem constantly losing connectivity or falling out with just the slightest touch during a constantly moving shoot. This Pearstone cable with the pivoting Full connection and right-angle Mini connection solved this issue immediately. It took the lengthy cable weight off the connectors and shortened the exposed cable ends which automatically kept them from getting banged and jiggled. Both ends fit snugly and tight to the camera body. Quality seems really durable, but I've only been using them for a couple of weeks, I'm really happy with the purchase, the price and the solution this cable has offered to HDMI cables on a DSLR body..

[Black] This is a very well-made cable for the money. I needed exactly a cable like this one to connect between my Sony and my Aputure 7 field monitor, and this cable fulfilled the requirement perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the cable or the price, and of course I always love the fast shipping and great service at B&H. Highly recommended.
