The V7 X is a supercardioid dynamic instrument microphone that lifts the sonic curtain in front of your sources, connecting listeners with your performance at a whole new level. The sibling to the acclaimed vocal-oriented V7, the V7 X is a dynamic instrument microphone ideal for a broad range of instrumental applications, both in the studio and on stage. Its specialized capsule's innovative aluminum voice coil and brand new acoustic design are specifically tailored for full-bandwidth instrumental reinforcement and recording, with a balance of detailed highs and deep, ultra-powerful lows, allowing for use on nearly any source from electric guitar cabinets to brass instruments, snare drums to choir, and many more.

The all-new custom DMC7 X capsule offers the same technologies and features as its sibling within the V7, including its innovative, specialized aluminum voice coil. While the V7 is optimized for vocals, the capsule in the V7 X has been custom-tuned for instrumental use. The upper frequency range is smooth and balanced, capturing every nuance of the player, while the lowered resonance and extended, powerful low-frequency response allows for a complete spectrum of instruments: 4x12 guitar cabs, toms, snares, horns, rotary organs, or any other instrument all come through loud, natural, and clear.

The supercardioid pattern of this sophisticated capsule also helps isolate your instruments from other sound sources on the stage, efficiently reducing stage bleed and ensuring copious amounts of gain before feedback.

Proven neodymium magnets, tight production tolerances, and high workmanship ensure excellent sensitivity, high-end sound quality, and superb consistency.

The V7 X's road-ready design is all metal, no plastic parts here. The chassis' high-quality, highly durable zinc alloy is designed to hold up under on-stage stress for years, and the spring steel mesh grille is dent-proof and corrosion-free for perfect reliability. The beveled edge around the grille prevents the V7 X from rolling when set down on top of an amp or the stage floor.

The V7 X's advanced internal capsule suspension efficiently decouples the capsule from mechanical vibration, isolating it from shocks and jolts and providing exceptionally low rumble and handling noise as compared to other mics in its class.

The red internal windscreen efficiently reduces unwanted wind noise. In case you prefer a more visually subtle windscreen, a black one is included as a standard accessory.

The V7 X's gold-plated XLR connector also ensures a loss-free and reliable signal connection for years to come.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any reason this wouldn't work mounted inverted on a boom mic setup?

A: None at all. Just note the weight at about 5 lbs.

Q: 2. Is it okay to use this with a shotgun microphone that can take a battery for its phantom power, such as the Senheisser MKE 600?

A: Yes, the sE Electronics DM1 Dynamite Active Inline Microphone Preamplifier could be used to increase the gain of a battery-powered shotgun microphone such as the Sennheiser MKE 600, but doing so may overload the input connection or exaggerate the self-noise of the microphone.

Q: 3. Can I use the Shure shock mount for the Shure SM58, etc for this mic?

A: The SHURE A55HM Snap-In Shock Stopper B&H # SHA55HM) is a half-mount isolation mount and swivel adapter. The mount has standard threads for use with a variety of mic stands and boom arms. The half-mount design provides quick and convenient mounting and unmounting of microphones, and the built-in elastics provide isolation from unwanted vibrations. The mount is compatible with virtually any tapered microphone, including the Samson Q6 which is very similar to the SHURE SM57, SM58, SM86, Beta 57A, Beta 58A, and Beta 87C. a href= http://bhpho.to/1xrlZTr target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1xrlZTr/a

A: Yes

Q: 5. Can this be connected to a iPhone with an adaptor?

A: Yesm the sE Electronics sE2200 can be connected to an iPhone using a mobile audio interface that supplies the 48V phantom power required to power the mic. You can use an interface such as the IK Multimedia iRig Pre (B&H# IKIRIGPRE), iRig Pre HD (B&H# IKIRIGPREHD), Saramonic SmartRig DI (B&H# SASMARTRIGD), SmartRig+ DI (B&H# SASMARTRIGP), TC-Helicon Go Vocal (B&H# TCGOVOCAL) or any other mobile interface designed for use with iOS devices. Some may require an additional adapter for connecting to a Lightning port. The Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H# APLAADAP) can be used for that purpose.

Q: 6. Can this be used free standing on a table or does this need to be mounted on a mic stand?

A: It can be used on a table top as long as you remove the piece in the back that would attach it to your mic stand. Works very well for VOs when its flat on a desk or table.

Q: 7. will this device provide +48v Phantom power to a condenser microphone ?

A: This device is a gain booster for ribbon/ dynamic mics, and while it uses 48v to provide gain, it does not pass phantom power. If you need just phantom power for a condenser mic, here's a phantom power supply option BH #MAM48.

Q: 8. It can be use with a sennheiser MD421?

A: This reflection filter can be used with the Sennheiser MD 421 dynamic microphone to prevent unwanted ambient sound.

[Gray] I'm very impressed! The microphone has a very pleasant bright sound with a clear high range, but the level of feedback is the same as in SM58. The vocals are very readable in the general mix . In this microphone (SE V7) you do not need to cut off the low frequencies, it does not drum. In my personal opinion, V7 sounds even better than Telefunken d80.

[Solid-State] For when there is a little noise, I wanted a condenser with a hyper cardioid pattern. but those really cost. This is well past your SM58 or E835 at the high end, and the low is good at 6inches. The bright/not-harsh high end is incredible, and it is detailed like the RodeNT1 I usually use. I'm loving this thing.

[Supercardioid] It's an amazing microphone. The build is very durable, the body is solid and the grill doesn't give or dent when a decent amount of force is put on it. The sound as well is fantastic; it doesn't need a lot of EQ and can be used for recording as well for live performance. A pop filter or a foam windscreen is needed though as the built-in foam doesn't work the best. I can't recommend it enough especially for the price.

[Supercardioid] Trying this over SM58. High gain, clean output. Good solid build feel.

[Supercardioid] The design is incredible and the weight of the mic is perfect.
Considerably one of the most flexible and perhaps the best dynamic mic considering the price and it's charming features. I did a hefty research prior to purchasing a mic. Looked into various sites, different reviews, and expertise opinions on every microphone out there and ultimately encountered the SE Electronics V7 microphone. Many reps will make a simple, unattractive recommendation as saying Shure SM58 or any industry standard (Senheiser, AKG, Audio-Technica, etc). Many reps are not aware of SE Electronics nor its V7 microphone. This mic will be the replacement for the industry standard when noticed by more consumers. The packaging I can say was absolutely professional and attractive with its detailed features on there and the design and proper packaging feeling as if I had bought a brand new Apple product. SE Electronics is absolutely impressive. I will be utilizing this mic for vocals for myself and a female vocalist in our band. This will feature a clean voice and an upgraded performance result. I will bet that your investment on this V7 microphone will be a game changer and a much different reality of the audio world.

[None] I purchased this to replace a KSM9. The KSM 9 is great, but on stage we tend to have different singers with different levels of projection and mic control. Bring in the V7 MC1 and I can immediately tell the difference with more rejection of stage instruments. The eq felt very similar to the KSM 9 but with less high end. Still very silky and round on Female Vocals. Was a quick and easy replacement on the UR 2 Mic Transmitter.

I will be buying a few more soon.
