This Urth 40.5mm UV Lens Filter Plus+ for Enhanced Photographyfrom Urth 40.5mm UV Lens Filter Plus+ for Enhanced Photographycuts ultraviolet light to sharpen images while protecting lenses from scratches, oil, knocks, and water. By cutting UV light's blue haze, the UV Plus+ filter improve sharpness and clarity in photographs, but doesn't affect camera settings, which means it can be left on a lens at all times. UV light's blue haze softens details and image quality, especially on hazy days. This UV Plus+ filter cuts out 99.6% of ultraviolet light for sharper details.

Made from industry-leading German B270 Schott optical glass, which is coated with a 30-layer nano-coating for improved sharpness and added protection. The coating also resists water, oil, and abrasions for long life and easy cleaning.

A: No, Hoya 62mm NXT Plus UV Filter doesn't have threads for mounting a lens shade but you can use Nikon HN-23 Lens Hood (BH #NIHN23) and mount a lens shade on it.

Q: 8. What is the difference between NXT Plus UV and Hoya 52mm Ultraviolet UV (C) Haze Multicoated Filter (HOUVMC52)?

A: The The UV(C) has the UV properties in the multi-coatings while the NXT Plus has the UV properties in the glass. Also the NXT Plus is constructed from Schott B270 glass for increased clarity as well as color fidelity and it has knurled edges for a more textured grip when mounting or removing it from a lens.

Q: 9. Does this lens (referring to physical length / size) cause any shadows to be cast in the final picture when using the built in flash on the XT-10?

A: I use this lens on an X Pro2 so I can't really answer the Q. But it is a very short and not very wide lens. I can't imagine that it would interfere in any way.

Q: 10. Can I change the mount to e mount, so I can switch this lens between my fuji and my sony's?

A: That is not possible. You will not be able to change the mount on this lens to an E-Mount.

[40.5 mm] This is NOT a cheap filter kit by any stretch, or by any measure. The glass is top notch, and the coating is very good at reducing glare. The caps make the kit easy to store and far more durable to carry. Between the materials/assembly and the performance, these stand up against anything in the price range. 5

[40.5 mm] Trying URTH filter for the first time. Normally use B+W filters, but they are getting way too expensive. I like that URTH packaging is completely recyclable and they have a tree planting initiative when you purchase any of their products. Using the filter on a Nikon zoom 24-120mm lens. So far too good! 5
