Q: 1. Are these two filter make a big difference between NiSi 86mm Circular Polarizer filter vs 86mm Enhanced Circular Polarizer filter?

A: Both NiSi circular polarizers are excellent, but from our experience, the Enhanced CPL tends to be more suitable for more saturated color aesthetics and landscape photography, including but not limited to general landscapes, cityscapes, sunrise/sunset, etc.

Q: 2. Could this used with non-Sachtler tripod leg? Maybe like manfrotto 645 Fast?

A: No, this can only be used with a 75mm Sachtler fluid head.

Q: 3. Is this the same as the Kase 100mm Starglow? I ask because Kase Filters doesn't have an AstroBlast listed on their website.

A: No, these filters are different.

Q: 4. All Circular polarizers are made up of 2 polarizing glass stacked together and one rotates while the other remain fixed. Why is this one made with only one glass element?

A: According to the manufacturer it is two elements in this filter.

Q: 5. If I mount this filter holder on an Irix 15mm f2.4 lens using the Irix adapter for this lens (lens hood mount) and an Irix circular polariser in the lens filter screw mount, can I also use a 100x100mm 2mm thk ND filter in the holder?

A: If the circular polarizing filter has front filter threads, you would be able to attach the filter holder and use an ND filter in the holder.

Q: 6. Does anyone know how I connect my Sachtler aktiv8 head to a Dana Dolly?

A: Sactler has the Sachtler Adapter for 75mm aktiv Head to Slider with 3/8"-16 Stud BH #SAS20800003 • MFR #S2080-0003 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1597847-REG/sachtler_s2080_0003_adaptor_to_mount_an.html

Q: 7. Which version of Aktiv Bowl Connector come with this adapter kit, V1 (red retaining clip) or V2 (black retaining ring)?

Q: 8. Will it fit the Canon Vixia HF r700?

A: Not at all. CompatibilityCanon VIXIA HF M50, M52, R30, R32 camcorders

Q: 9. How deep is the hood and does it have coarse threads (86 x 1)?

A: BandH asked me to comment cause I bought an heliopan 62mm long lens hood a while ago to replace the behemoth hood that came with the Tokina 300mm/f6.3 catadioptric lens. The hood has strands of fine hairs implanted inside. I could foresee no doubt they would start shedding as time goes by due to glue deterioration and thats something I didnt want to see to happen.A long story short, I narrow down to three sizes to consider; 58mm, 62 and 67. I wanted to know their ?, thread pitch, overall hight, and hight of the screw section to make sure I wont get any vignettage in using it on the lens. Inquiries to BandH turned out to be futile. I was told since their distributor didnt have them in stock they couldt take measurements.I wrote to info(at)heliopan(dot)de asking for the info on the 62. They shot an email back to me alright but their answer was obviously too simple and totally wrong. They gave me 20mm as its hight. Thats it. Thats all the answer I got. The name of the person who responded was german and he had an engineering title of some kind. So, I assume they have to understandably safeguard ANY proprietary information as much as possible to make copycatters their life harder. Look at how Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH, for example, package their products to show they are genuine Schneider products, not copycatted ones !!!MY SUGGESTIONS :I assume for the size the pitch is PROBABLY 1mm but for accuracys sake ask BandH. If they and/or the distributor have it in stock youll have your day. Otherwise write to heliopan and get your fingers crossed. You could be luckier than me. If worse comes to worst you can alway take your chance to see if the Lady Luck might smile at you the way she did to me.I wrote three groups of the numbers; 58, 62 and 67 on a piece of paper. I closed my eyes. I shuffled the paper a couple of times on the table. Still with the eyes closed, I put my index finger on the paper. The closest number to the finger was 62 and I cant be happier.MEASUREMENTS ON 62mm :?62mmx.75; overall height : 32.5; cylindrical section : 29.5; threads section : 3 Enter an answer to this question.

Q: 10. Regarding the Heliopan 52mm Slim Circular Polarizer SH-PMC Filter (705240), does anyone know if this filter will work with the larger Canon lenses (300mm f2.8, 400mm DO ...) that have rear mount drop-in filter holders. The issue is that 52mm screw in filters fit in the filter holder but when sliding the filter holder into the slot in the lens it does not fit because the filter is too thick. Is this particular filter slim enough to work with the above lenses? Please help.

A: Unfortunately this type of filter is built to be used on the outside of the lens, and is too thick to work inside a drop-in filter slot. Most circular polarizers, with their moving parts, will be too thick to use.

[86 mm] I received the filters in a black sleeve as opposed to the white mylar/plastic looking packaging shown on the product listing on B&H.
That's not an issue, but the specifications on the B&H under key features lists the dimensions as 28mmx28mm but the package itself lists them as 29 x 29mm.

Other than that discrepancy, I imagine these gel filters are perfect. Only they didn't fit my Rokinon Z mount 14mm f2.8 lens because even though the rear glass element is small, the mount and holder are much wider. But I cannot fault the product for that, I just hope I find some that are wide enough to fit on this lens.

[86 mm] This set provides a great price andnicearray of filters that I use with a 7-14 wide angle lens on an AG4. Since one filter usually costs more than this entire set at 86mm, it is a true bargain and they work well.

[0.065 lb] The packaging for this lens filter is like no other that I have experienced. The first thing that you notice is the hinge in the plastic container. When I opened the case all that I saw was the black ring and thought that they had forgotten the glass. It was that clear and went onto our Zeiss lens smoothly and perfectly. You get what you pay for.

[0.065 lb] I find myself using more of the Zeiss UV filters. Their consistent quality is worth the extra money to insure quality photos.

[86 mm] Normally I buy B+W MRC UV filters for all of my lenses. In this case I made an exception. I bought a limited production Zeiss Sonnar 50mm f/1.5 in Nikon S (rangefinder mount), which Zeiss produced in 2008. I was tempted to go cheap and get the B+W, but then I figured that I would kick myself every time I used the lens. So, I bought this. The case that these filters come in is a wonder. Beautifully finished and shaped. A wonder of industrial design. The filter is well made, and the glass looks as if it isn't there at all. I would say that the B+W Schott glass is comparable in quality. Putting it on my lens, the hood bayonets on without binding on the outside of the filter. Some of the older B+W filter rings tend to be quite thick, but I think the latest B+W rings are thin now also. My only twinge of disappointment is that the filter is made in Japan (well, so is my lens, so what?). At this price, I was hoping it might say Made in Germany. Do I buy Leica filters for my Leica lenses? Occasionally, but not often. But, I did buy this Zeiss filter to go with my Zeiss lens.

[86 mm] I have 3 of the 4 Irix cinema lenses and their brand matching 3-stop filter is a perfect match, along with the cost compared to other brands. A nice even ND, just what I need to 'take the edge' off bright sunlight shots where I want to increase depth of field.
