[512 GB] Supersonic, SuperFast, SuperDuper!

[0.05 lb] I've liked the previous RAGE XT version, but couldn't get them anymore. So B&H had the RAGE Supersonic Prime for a good price and I bought two. Wow are they fast! Both transferred bulk data over 600MBps in either direction as measured by Crystal Disk Mark. Kudos to Patriot and Kudos to B&H for having them. Also Kudos to B&H for their great YouTube ads.

[512 GB] I bought this extremely well-reviewed, highly rated USB flash drive and was not disappointed. It is FAST and FURIOUS. No down time with this little track star!! And 250 MB. It was so popular it was sold out when I wanted it so I got on the wait list One day later, it was back in stock and I grabbed one! Very happy.

[0.05 lb] I'm not the best at understanding flash drive transfer rate science but I do know that when I use Patriot drives they work faster than other brands of drives, usually but not always. The build and designs on the Patriot drives are top notch quality and of course they do what they are suppose to do, store and move data in and out.
After many years of trying to find flash drives that would work faster, not get hot while connected and show positive signs of speedy data transfer I truly have settled on Patriot as the go-to best of the industry.

[0.05 lb] The construction seems great, the full metal and does get warm when pushed but not hot, not to the point where it would be uncomfortable, just warm. The Read speed is close to 400MB/s, and the read can peak close to 400MB/s, but its not sustained, it has a cache that when its fully used, drops to 270MB/s, still one of the fastest write speeds for a flash drive, it even beats Sandisk Extreme Pros, but it doesnt beat portable SSD, but its strenght its that its a lot smaller than any of those, if you value size, this is the best flash drive you can get. The only thing that i wished Patriout would have done different is the cap, it cant be placed on the back thus you got to be careful not to lose it.


One last comment, I also bought the 128gb and the burst is the same, close to 400 MB/s, but the sustain goes lower once the cache is used, around 160 MB/s, my guess is that the 128GB version has less lanes than the 512GB thus the lower sustained.
