Effortlessly record two subjects at the same time to your Apple mobile device with the Movo Photo iLav-DUO, a budget-friendly dual digital lavalier microphone designed for two-person interviews, vlogs, podcasts, and more. Thanks to its MFi-certified Lightning connector and integrated analog-to-digital converter, it delivers quality audio directly to your Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and requires no software installation or complicated setup. Plus, it includes a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter for plugging into the headphone port of a mobile device that doesn't have an available Lightning port.

The iLav-DUO utilizes two electret condenser capsules, each with an omnidirectional polar pattern to deliver consistent pickup from all directions, so you don't have to worry if the mic isn't pointing directly at your mouth. The 19.7' attached cable offers plenty of slack, allowing the speakers to move around while the phone's camera stays at an optimal distance. Since the iLav-DUO is powered through the Lightning connection to your iOS mobile device, no batteries are needed for operation. Simply clip the lav mics on the subjects, plug into your mobile device, open your preferred audio/video production app, and start recording.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you record on 2 separate channels (left and right) like the Comica BoomXD?

A: No. The receiver in this kit provides a summed mono output.

Q: 2. compatible with macbook?

A: The Movo Photo EDGE-DI-DUO 2-Person Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for iPhones (2.4 GHz) features a Lightning connector for connecting to inputs found specifically on iPhones and would not be compatible with other connections found on the Macbook.

Q: 3. Assuming these also work with ipad air?

A: Yes, the Movo Photo EDGE-DI-DUO 2-person wireless system is compatible for use with the iPad Air.

Q: 4. Can this be connected to the zoom f6?

A: Yes, the Movo Photo WMX-20-DUO 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Lavalier Microphone System can be connected to the Zoom F6 Multitrack Field Recorder.

Q: 5. Can I use 2 of these systems on one camera and have 4 separate audio channels? If I plug one receiver in XLR 1 and the second receiver in XLR 2 can I separate all 4 channels of audio for 4 people in one camera?

A: Yes, you can use two WMX-20-DUO systems at the same time on the same camera, but you would have two audio tracks, not four. Each receiver outputs one signal with the combined audio from its two mics. Also, the camera only records two audio tracks, not four. If you do need to have four separate audio tracks, it would be best to use individual wireless systems for each person and capture the audio on a multi-track recorder. The audio and video can be synced in post production.

Q: 6. Can this be used for a Facebook live or is it just for video recordings?

A: This should work with Facebook live when set in Mono Mode.

Q: 7. Can these be used with a canon 5d mark 2 as well?

A: The receiver in this system is designed specifically for iOS devices and will not connect to a dslr camera.

Q: 8. one mic is louder than the other. is there anyway to fix this?

A: Make sure that both microphones are connected to the mic input (not the line input) on each of the transmitters. Since the WMX-1-DUO system does not have individual level controls for each transmitter and people do tend to speak at different volume levels, try experimenting with placement of the microphones on each person wearing a mic. Try moving the mic closer to the mouth of the person whose volume is lower or move the mic further away from the mouth of the person whose volume is louder. If you find that there is still an usual difference between the output levels of each mic, please contact us for further assistance so we can do additional troubleshooting to determine whether there may be a problem with one of the mics or transmitters..

Q: 9. Can I get a longer cable ?

A: A longer microphone cable is not available.

Q: 10. Can the iPhone charge while using this?

A: No, the iPhone cannot charge while using the Movo Photo EDGE-DI-DUO 2-Person Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for iPhones.

[Omnidirectional] I find the quality of sound excellent and the price quite reasonable!

[Bus Power] I was a little nervous about how cheap these would be considering the price but so far they've been very impressive. Certainly not top of the line but they will more than do the job for beginning filmmakers and will likely make for great backups for those who consider themselves intermediate. I strongly recommend them for anyone who is a little intimidated by the price of the Rode Wireless GO II. These are not a waste of your money.

[Black] When I ordered these, I was at first concerned about what the audio quality would be like compared to a digital wireless system like the Rode Go. However, when I started using them I found the quality to be fantastic for what it is and the convenience of having two microphones with one receiver is equally fantastic.
When the audio volume is turned up in an editing software, there is some noise that creeps into the recordings but the noise floor is acceptably low and is only noticeable if you turn the clip volume up about 40db, which is well above what I would normally be doing.

[0.315 lb] I've tried some of the latest wireless budget friendly options and found this this product to be worth it. I couldn't afford a $600 system but the quality sounds like it! Very little interference if you have the packs far enough apart as intended. Lots of great accessories and the travel case is just the right size. May even order a 2nd set down the road.

[Bus Power] I have used this type of microphone for more than 60 years, yes 60 years, including interviewing Casey Stengel, astronauts and persons on the street. I really am impressed With the quality. The only issues, I wish the lead was two feet longer.

[Yes] I have not got a chance to use on a job yet but upon the initial test the system worked and sounded good. Both transmitters had no problems instantly connecting to the receiver. Good value for the money.

[Bus Power] I've used it several times and the audio is really clear. If you're doing videos for youtube or slightly more professional like local commercials, you can rest assured that this will meet your needs quite well. Clear sound, mild echo depending on your environment and a good distance away with good sound. Nice.
