The transmitter requires:Input Connection Type: 3.5 mm TRS jack socket (with thread lock) The Polsen mic does not offer this connector and it is battery powered. [0.22 lb] This LavMicro is a good mic, with clean audio and easy to use. The quality of the sound in post-production surprised me. I recommend this Mic and its an excellent mic to carry on your bag, your purse, everywhere. If you are a filmmaker, you dont know when will be your next shoot :) 5

[0.22 lb] The audio comes across clear. I use it to VO videos on my phone. The only thing I don't like is that I have to unplug it in order to hear the VO 5

[Yes] Purchased this for my 10yo daughter to make movies on her iPod. Audio quality is actually pretty good. Not as full as my wireless Sennheisers, naturally, but great for what she's using it for. You do have to unplug it from the device to hear playback, but it's small, plug-and-play, and has a nice long cord so she can back up from the camera. Happy with the purchase! 5

[Yes] This comes as a two part device. It is a very good sounding TRS plug-in-power mic, and an inexpensive USB audio dongle with an input and a headphone output. It is NOT a TRRS device (which I think it said it was somewhere), and a trrs is only generally used for something with both a headphone and a mic. The mic sounds very good, any self noise well below the living room background noise, good sensitivity. I used it with a handheld recorder which supplies about 2.5 volts, which is required by this condenser mic. I suspect that the ring on the TRS plug is not connected to anything, just there to avoid contact with something that could cause a problem. On this windows 7 computer, the USB device did not work, and I was not going to use it anyway, so I am only reporting on the microphone. I did not troubleshoot the USB dongle, could have been a reboot or something would fix it. I suspect previous reviewer (Karen) had either a defective device, or misunderstood how to use it, or had the same trouble I had with the USB part. 5

[Yes] You can't beat the quality of this mic for its price. Outstanding! We have another one of these, but the one we just received seems to have a more narrow pick-up pattern despite it still being omnidirectional. Not a huge issue for us, but just know that in advance. 5
