It is used extensively in the film and theater industries to soften light quality and subdue shadows. The fabric has the appearance of silk and is woven with flame-retardant yarn. A: No, the ALZO silk diffusion fabric is heat-resistant up to 200°C, allowing it to be used comfortably with studio strobes, small flashes, or cob LED 120 output.

A: First yes it is a neutral color. However, it is not color correction i.e. won't make fluorescent light daylight balanced. It is diffusion material for nocking down strong light sources such as sunlight or a spotlight. The color temperature of the light source is not changed. If you are looking to change the color temp. check out Lee or Rosco color correcting gels. Also look at the fluorescent tubes if they are daylight it would be printed on the tube. You can purchase daylight tubes too.

[11 lb] I used to cover my window with a black curtain and turn on led lights. This simple light modifying fabric now allows to have a soft, diffused, natural light. I can take it off and use it as a scrim for a shoot. 5

[11 lb] Only used it once so far, and maybe I should have gotten the Double net. But with the right lens, it's usefully large enough to knock down hot spots behind a subject. Silk works better for an overhead though. 5
