This 16 oz Cotton 57" x 10 Yards 16 oz Cotton Duvetyne Roll Blackfrom Liba Fabrics measures 57 inches wide by 10 yards long and is used extensively in the film and theater industries for blocking light or to simulate outer space. It can also be used for creating a light-to-dark ratio on flat, overcast days in photography and video. The fabric meets NFPA 701 fire-retardant standards, has a brushed-matte finish, and is easy to cut or tear.

Q: 1. How long will this last after opening the bottle?

A: Kodak Photo-Flo 200 does have an expiration date on the item. It is not recommended to be used past this date. That being said, many have had success using this way past the listed expiration date.

Q: 2. I have been soaking a photo that is stuck to glass overnight and water and the very bottom part is still stuck. Can I add photo flow to the water to help the last part come away from the glass without tearing the picture?

A: I generally prefer photo flo as a clean up rinse for images that are old, faded, dirty or curled as well as a final rinse due to its great capacity for leaving a print literally liquid-spot clean.

Q: 3. Can this be used on BW, C41, & E6 films?

A: This product is designed for use when processing Black and White Film only.

Q: 4. I am using this as an additive to a phonograph cleaning machine. This can not leave any residue behind. The recording will also be vacuum dried. Does anyone have experience here?

Q: 5. Is this a concentrate that I can dilute with water? My research tells me that we trying agents are used in the range of drops per hundreds of mL rinsing water.

A: This is a concentrate. The dilution ration for it is 1 part Photo-Flo to 200 parts water.

Q: 6. The difference between this 16 oz and the BH #LI461BLACK5 9 oz is just the weight? What difference and uses are between the two?

A: The weight is the density of the black flag. The higher weight block more light.

Q: 7. Dumb question? I assume I still need to give my film a final squeegee after using Phot-Flo?

A: After you use Kodak Photo-Flo 200 Solution (16 oz), you do squeegee the film.

Q: 8. 10 yards by...? How wide is it?

A: Width: 56/57" Wide

Q: 9. Is a capful = 1/200 of a gallon?

A: The recommended dilution is 1:200. The cap size cannot be measured.

Q: 10. Is it safe for camera lenses and optics?

A: These Dusters are safe for products and optics, it is important to keep the blower straight when using.

[Black] Was exactly what we needed. Food for thought; we used this product in New York City and needed the certificate of flame retardant. Can BH provide in a document for future ease of access? 5

[Black] Although not as dense as more expensive Duvetyne, this product works fine for negative fill and most light blocking applications. It is also somewhat lighter than the heavy, theatrical grade Duvetyne. I don't know if this is fire retardant, but now that we use LEDs instead of hot lights, that is less of a priority. My only wish is that it would be nice if a wider width were available, but otherwise I'm quite pleased with this fabric. 5
