This 16 oz Cotton 57" x 5 Yards 16 oz Cotton Duvetyne Roll - Blackfrom Liba Fabrics measures 57 inches wide by 5 yards long and is used extensively in the film and theater industries for blocking light or to simulate outer space. It can also be used for creating a light-to-dark ratio on flat, overcast days in photography and video. The fabric meets NFPA 701 fire-retardant standards, has a brushed-matte finish, and is easy to cut or tear.

Q: 1. Do you recommend mixing a quantity of photo flo and water or just using the dropper method? If mixing a quantity can it be returnied to ocntainer and be reused?

A: I always just mix the amount i need(or close to it) and toss it when im done. Photo flo doesnt seem to keep well plus its not terribly expensive.

Q: 2. Is a capful = 1/200 of a gallon?

A: The recommended dilution is 1:200. The cap size cannot be measured.

Q: 3. Dumb question? I assume I still need to give my film a final squeegee after using Phot-Flo?

A: After you use Kodak Photo-Flo 200 Solution (16 oz), you do squeegee the film.

Q: 4. Can this be used on BW, C41, & E6 films?

A: This product is designed for use when processing Black and White Film only.

Q: 5. What are the size dimensions of this bag.?

A: The Cotton Carrier DryBag (Large 16") dimensions are 15.75 x 9''.

Q: 6. How long will this last after opening the bottle?

A: Kodak Photo-Flo 200 does have an expiration date on the item. It is not recommended to be used past this date. That being said, many have had success using this way past the listed expiration date.

Q: 7. Can this be reused once mixed or is it one shot.

A: Yes. The following can be used as you go and one bottle provides 4 gallons.

A: I've used 20+ year old photo flo without issue. I don't know if there is an expiration date however.

Q: 10. My photoflo seems soapy do you think I need to dilute it more?

A: The solution should be smooth if you follow the instructions listed on the bottle.

[6.5 lb] Although not as dense as more expensive Duvetyne, this product works fine for negative fill and most light blocking applications. It is also somewhat lighter than the heavy, theatrical grade Duvetyne. I don't know if this is fire retardant, but now that we use LEDs instead of hot lights, that is less of a priority. My only wish is that it would be nice if a wider width were available, but otherwise I'm quite pleased with this fabric. 5

[6.5 lb] I bought a roll of the 9oz and a roll of the 16oz as I didn't know how either would perform. I am using the 9oz to hide and cover a few items on a prodution shoot. It worked for me and tears straight. Was easy to pick up in NYC. 5

[6.5 lb] Was exactly what we needed. Food for thought; we used this product in New York City and needed the certificate of flame retardant. Can BH provide in a document for future ease of access? 5
