[0.21 lb] They work... well? Look- no way to sugar coat it. The app works poorly because some of the text is white on a white background and you can BARELY make out what you're doing. But... once you get them to connect and sort out the connection mess, you're in. And the app does do some great whitebalance features that are REALLY HELPFUL. And they work fine once you're in. And they do keep disconnecting, and you keep connecting them- usually goes pretty easy. But when your lights are up high or inaccessible, these are a grape lifesaver.

[0] As someone who has worked in the video industry for 30+ years I can honestly say that I have never purchased any piece of equipment where I can say the manufacturer has made a product where they have thought through how the item will be used in the field and and not cut corners to deliver an item that works almost flawlessly. This light kit as a bundle meets that exception. The case is compact, they included neccessary adapters, the lights are lightweight yet powerful and do what they advertise, the tripods are small yet extremely functional, they included light diffusion, power sources and adapters, and the light itstelf is vedry well made. This kit is exactly what I have been looking for in a traveling, light weight, compact kit that provides all the essentials that you will need in lighting for video. The only piece that I would knock on this item is the battery connection that is a bit flimsly and I feel I am breaking the light when mounting the batteries however the entire rest of the kit and prodcut is so well made and thought out in how it was constructed that I still gave this bundle a 5 star rating!

[0] This is the 2nd case I bought. It costs more than the Portabrace case but it's well worth it. It might be hard to tell from the photos but the front of the Gemini fits snuggly into the padding. I wish there was a big pocket on the outside like the Portabrace version, but hands down, it's still worth the extra cost.

[Passive] I use this with the Gemini 1x1 hard. That light draws a lot. I first tried this single plate with the batteries I had and it could not keep the light on at full power for long. So I returned it and bought the double plate. But for travel, the double takes more space, so after some research, I gave the single plate another change. You need a battery with high draw. The Anton Bauer 243w T batteries won't handle it, because they only go up to 12a, but the Core SWX 293 can reach 16a peak, so it can handle the light at full power just fine. I hear the Anton Bauer XT batteries can also handle it, because they have a high draw. Doesn't really matter the WH of the battery, that just determines for how long. Just make sure your batteries can go past 12a.
