Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with a black magic 4k cinema camera?

A: Yes, this TTArtisans 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Micro Four Thirds can work on the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.

Q: 2. Hey Will this work well with a Nikon z5? Thanks!

A: TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Nikon Z won't work very well with the Nikon Z5. It is an apsc lens. It will crop the full frame sensor of the Nikon Z5. Less than half of the available megapixels will be used.

Q: 3. The description says f1.2, the photos all show f2. Which is it?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm is a f/1.2. The photos are incorrect, thank you for letting us know.

Q: 4. Has anyone used this lens for astrophotography, and if so, what did you think of the results?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Nikon Z is a sharp manual lens. But most do prefer for astro shots a wider lens. And depending on the camera body you have if it is a full frame, you do not need as wide as a APS-C sensor camera.

Q: 5. Hi, is this a clicked/stopped aperture ring, or "clickless"?

A: Yes, there are subtle click stops.

Q: 6. Can I use this lens in a Sony ar7II? I now it wont cover the full frame, but I wonder hao much coverage this lens would have. Thank you

A: You can use this lens in crop mode on the A7R II.

Q: 7. Does it come with a hood?

A: No, TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for FUJIFILM X is not provided with a lens hood in the box. You only get the screw-in metal cap and rear cap for the lens.

Q: 8. Does this lens fit a Mark 5D iii specifically?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Canon EF-M (Black) does not work with a Canon 5D Mark III. This lens has an EF-M mount, while the 5D Mark III has an EF mount. They are not compatible.

Q: 9. Is this a "manual focus only" lens or does it work with the Fuji camera's auto focus?

A: This lens is manual focus only.

Q: 10. Hi, is this a clicked/stopped aperture ring, or "clickless"? Thanks

A: Yes, the aperture ring has a subtle click.

[52 mm (Front)] I was honestly a bit nervous buying this lens but for only $100 I figured it wouldn't be much of a loss if I didn't like it. Seeing the cheap packaging didn't make me feel too much better about the purchase but once I opened the box, I wound up being very surprised by how great this lens looked (minus the tacky logo) and felt in my hand. This solid metal lens definitely feels very premium with a nice distinct click on the aperture ring, a very smooth focus ring, and in my case a nice snug fit onto my Fujifilm X-T4. Overall the lens is very sharp aside from being wide open and the vignetting disappears by f4. There is also quite a bit of chromatic aberration in high contrast areas but that and the vignetting are so easy to fix in Lightroom so I don't consider it an issue. The lens definitely has its quirks but it was nothing that made me feel like this lens was a bad deal and in some cases, I actually like the imperfections when paired with my Fujifilm. If you're looking for a lens to use for commercial work, I would wonder why you were considering this lens in the first place but for more artistic applications this lens is a great option that punches well above its weight even for professional applications where absolute perfect image quality and auto focus are not a necessity. I'm now very interested in trying the other lenses that TTArtisan has to offer. I just wish they would change their logo!

[10] This lens is so much fun!! Yeah it may not be as sharp as my Nikon 50mm 1.8 BUT this lens can give you great bokeh!!! I love the pictures I'm getting with this lens and for the price, you can't go wrong!!!

[Nikon Z] I bought this for my Fujifilm X-T30 for shooting closeups and portraits. It's totally manual so you do the focusing and pick the f stop, which gives you more control over your picture's depth of field. With it's metal body, it feels quite substantial. It's just basic glass, no apparent lens coating. The picture quality is decent. There are no sensors around the mount, so you'll need to set your camera to "shoot without lens." Otherwise the shutter won't trip. This is a great lens for photographers on a budget, like me.

[f/1.2] I absolutely love this lens. It can capture sharp images, has nice bokeh and it's very easy and comfortable to handle. The only downside is that it's a little heavy but at least feels very sturdy and well made.
Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a manual focus prime lens on a budget.

[Nikon Z] I bought it for GH5. With this compact size I can have a 100mm and 140mm with ex tele convert on ( In 4k mode). and with the amazing ibis and is lock, you got yourself a handheld 140mm steady shots. I put this combo in my shoulder bag. When I am doing wedding, I have one or two cameras on tripod, and I have this combo in my bag and I can take it out anytime to shoot some reaction shots. Super useful. I was about to sold ny GH5. but with this combo, it revive again.

[APS-C] So, I'm a huge fan of Voigtlander's super fast primes. But the price tag is hefty. I spotted this little lens, read some reviews, and purchased it. At approx 1/10 the price of Voigtlander, I couldn't go wrong with this price tag. If the lens is junk, I'm only out $100. Well worth the risk, I thought.

I was right. This little lens feels every bit as solid as it's expensive counterpart, and although the image quality is not quite that of Voigtlander, it takes a darn fine, super shallow depth of field photograph, with pleasing bokeh. I'm a fan, and will be buying some other TTArtisan lenses. Highly recommended!

[10] This lens is fun to work and the results can be outstanding. But you must have the patience to setup and work with a manual focus lens.

[5.8 x 4 x 2.9"] Relatively sharp wide open at F1.2, with beautiful bokeh. A manual focus lens that is a joy to use. Old school manual focus - easily done thanks to the focus aids in my Fuji X-S10. This lens brings back the fun in photography!

[f/16] I was surprised at the quality of photos coming out of this lens, super sharp both center and corners, even at its wide opening f1.2 setting. Great bokeh, what makes it better than others is it's ability to do background separation.

The aperture ring snag well, focus ring has enough right amount of resistance to focus.

Focus peaking is helpful, but not always laser sharp accurate. The lens cap is a little weird, the lens is heavy and solid, I love it. Overall it is well worth the money for its purpose
