With 256-note polyphony, the K2700 boasts over five times the polyphony of any previous K2 series model.

The K2700 serves up a deep sound library of over 1500 factory programs and over 700 multi combinations organized into 13 instrument categories ranging from pianos to synths to orchestral sounds and more, featuring their optimized unlooped German D, Japanese C7, and Triple Strike pianos, Classic Tine EPs ('73 and '77), plus updated sounds from their popular SP6, PC3/4, and KORE64 expansion.

FlashPlay provides the K2700 with immense horse power; up to 8GB total capacity with zero-loading time and ultrafast performance.

Load up to 3.5GB of your own custom samples into non-volatile flash memory. Supported sample formats include: WAV, AIF (up to 16-bit / 96 kHz), and Kurzweil formats (.FOR, .PC4, .P3K, .KRZ, .K25, and .K26).

VAST was born in the K2 series. The K2700 expands on Kurzweil's legendary Variable Architecture Synthesis Technology offering 32-layers per program, deeply customizable signal paths, and a host of modular DSP tools including new oscillators, filters, and FX.

The K2700 offers a 6-Operator FM Engine with the ability to load original FM SysEx files. FM layers are a new addition to VAST programs and can be combined with VAST features to go far beyond classic FM synthesis.

Embedded within the K2700 are powerful anti-aliasing power-shaped oscillators along with DSP processing from Kurzweil's mythical VA1 concept synth, capable of delivering authentic analog emulations as well as incredibly complex new sounds.

Modeled after classic organs, a full compliment of tonewheel controls are immediately accessible including 9 realistic drawbars, rotary speed, chorus/vibrato, brake, percussion, and more.

Award-winning reverbs, delays, choruses, flangers, phasers, distortions, rotary amplifiers, compressors, and more are fully editable from the user interface. The K2700 also offers a global master FX section featuring 3-band EQ and compression.

Piano string-resonance modeling for enhanced acoustic piano performance

Every sound within the K2700 is perfectly matched to its 88-note fully weighted keyboard with aftertouch. Further customize the MIDI velocity and pressure response to suit your personal playing style.

Construct massive sonic combinations via Kurzweil's renowned Multi mode (aka setup mode) offering 16-zones of unparalleled MIDI controller capabilities, with each zone supporting over 60 separate physical controllers.

The K2700 features a 16-track internal sequencer to record/edit/mix/produce your own tracks in the box. Import MIDI (.mid) files as well as Kurzweil PC3-/PC4-/Forte-family songs.

Add sonic animation to your sounds via 16 simultaneous MIDI CC step sequencers for modulation sequencing.

Trigger and manipulate up to 16 simultaneous MIDI sequences on the fly. Select from an internal library of patterns, or record/import your own.

Activate up to 16 independent Arps (1 per program, 16 per multi) and discover the updated Step Sequencer environment.

Bend pitch, from musically subtle variations to deep dives? Of course. Go beyond the expected and control filters, volume, tempo, distortion, and more. Configure the Ribbon to have one control section that runs its entire length, or to have three sections of equal length acting independently.

Use the 4 x 4 grid of velocity-sensitive pads to trigger drums and percussion with precision. Additionally, activate zone mutes, trigger notes/chords/filters, add layers, and control the Arp, CC sequencers, and more.

Nine sliders, nine knobs, and 10 buttons are all programmable. Internally control volumes, pans, filters, FX wet/dry, envelopes, mutes, etc. Externally transmit any desired MIDI CC's to your DAW host.

Navigate the K2700 with a clear, easy-to-read 4.3" 480×272 widescreen color LCD display.

Use the buttons in the transport section to control recording and playback of the onboard 16-track sequencer as well as your favorite DAW (via MMC and System Real-Time messages).

Keep track of your sounds with easy Category and Program/Multi selection featuring customizable category defaults.

There are front-panel pitch/modulation wheels for expressive performances accompanied by dedicated -/+ transpose controls for quick and easy key changes.

With two assignable switch pedal jacks and two assignable CC pedal jacks, the K2700 can accommodate all the external pedals you need.

Record straight to your DAW via USB. No separate interface required. Connect your choice of line/instrument/mic source and route audio from the K2700 and its analog inputs to your DAW, with or without FX. The audio interface section features per-channel gain knobs, peak-level LEDs, Hi-Z switching, and +48V phantom power.

Plug in and jam along with an external audio source via XLR-1/4" combo inputs. Process the inputs through dedicated real-time FX to create new textures. Sweeten your vocal or backing tracks for live performance, and internally mix the signal with the K2700's own output.

Connect to your favorite mixer, amp, or studio monitors and route the K2700's audio signal (including input from the audio interface) amongst the four 1/4" TRS balanced outputs (two stereo pairs). The K2700 features pristine 32-bit D/A converters with automatic mono switching on main outs and a back-panel 1/4" stereo headphone jack.

A single USB cable allows you to use the K2700 as both a MIDI controller and audio sound source with your DAW. USB Host functionality further allows for connecting USB class-compliant devices such as an alternate keyboard controller or external fader/knob unit. USB also provides for storage of custom content and system updates.

Q: 8. does yamaha p45 fit well in this bag?

Q: 9. Where is the manufacturer?

A: Made in China

Q: 10. can I fit a Yamaha P125 comfortably with the music holder and power supply?

A: No, this case is specifically designed for StudioLogic Numa compact 88-key digital pianos, which have a narrow width and measure 50 x 9 x 4" (127 x 23 x 10 cm). It is too small for the Yamaha P-125, which is a standard size 88-key digital piano that measures 52.2 x 11.6 x 6.6" (132.6 x 29.5 x 16.8 cm). The P-125 is also approximately 11 lbs heavier than the Numa pianos, so the case does need to be able to support the weight. The Yamaha SC-KB850 Soft Case for P-125 Digital Piano (B&H # YASCKB850).is specifically designed to hold the P-125. For other options, the Gator Cases GKB-88 Keyboard Gig Bag - for 88-Key Keyboards (B&H # GAGKB88) or Gator Cases GK-88 Lightweight Keyboard Case with Wheels - for 88-Key Keyboards (B&H # GAGK88) are also compatible with the P-125. The music holder can be removed from the piano and stored in the front pocket of these cases along with the power supply.

[52 lb / 23.6 kg] I cant say enough how enjoyable it is to be able to bring this anywhere while being able to get ideas out in such and interesting way!

[16 Simultaneous] I took a credit card hit. Couldn't afford it but I am simply dazzled by it's sound. A true gem to behold and work with. It's a great upgrade to my coffee table ipad and usb c connected op1 field. The effects alone are worth it for me. The rest are all bonuses.

[16 per Multi] This keyboard has the Sounds of a Kronos with out the heavy price tag. 88 weighted keys with a nice feel and action. Easy to navigate color touch screen and many user programmable buttons make using this keyboard a pleasure. The setlist feature is a a huge help for live performance. Now for the downside. This keyboard is heavy. Weighing in at about 50 pounds. Also the transpose button is a little weird having to use a shift key then push the octave change buttons to transpose. . Also the boot up time is very long, about 2 minutes before you can play. All in all this is a great keyboard.

[16 Simultaneous] This is great synth for beginners to advanced musicians. The sound editing although it seems confusing is really easy once you understand what the abbreviations on the screen are referring to. The booklet that comes with it is very helpful and will have you creating your own patches in no time. I enjoy this so much I'm already looking at adding another Synth to my lineup.

[66.05 lb] The Op-1 has managed to recreate a process that is immediately familiar to veteran musicians; the multitrack tape recorder. Lots of small, digital stand-alone multitrack recorders exist but, although the knobs and transport buttons remain in the traditional configuration, these devices could not seem to harness the same tactile and aesthetic feel of the real thing. The OP-1 has achieved this. The elegance of the design, both in the tactile elements AND the OLED readout have yanked the analog tradition from the jaws of the digital world. Once you learn the interface, you'll be aching to get a few minutes with the device, even if you don't have something in mind, musically. You'll just want to use it. Can't say that for most software-based recording solutions. Anyway, it's built like a tank, and has everything you need to create music, right on board; multiple synth engines, drum machines, a robust sample engine (allowing external audio, on-board mic, on-board FM radio and re-sampling), 4-track recorder, 2 mix down platters, FX and LFO, and multiple sequencers. But the simple fact is, you'll WANT to use it. This is the greatest endorsement I can think of. Well worth the price point.

[4000+] The OP-1 is a legend, and it does not disappoint. I am not a musician and have little experience with music making and recording. Nevertheless, the OP-1 is immediately intelligible, and it's quick to start making great sounds. It's hugely fun. Of course, I'm sure it's an excellent professional-grade instrument, but for my uses - as someone learning something new for the pure enjoyment of it - this is a brilliant device.

Also, B&H has wonderful customer service (they sorted out a problem quickly and clearly) so I recommend buying from here.

[1500+] Very happy with this new version of the OP-1 Field. There are so many improvements compared with the OG but here are my favorite features.

Sound Quality

- The OG sounded very digital/lo-fi. The Field sounds hi-fi and so much better; even all the older instruments sound great.

New Synth and Effect

- Dimension synth (traditional subtractive synth engine) was something that was missing from the OG and is a very welcome and useful addition
- Mother reverb sounds lush and phenomenal
- The old spring reverb also now sounds amazing in 32bit audio.

Connectivity

Connectivity has been significantly improved. Make all kinds of connections with other gear with the Field. Very liberating.
Here are some I have tried:

- Midi over Bluetooth both ways
- Connect Midi hardware via USB and the Field acts as a midi host; I connected my LaunchPad Pro mk3 to play Field patches with velocity sensitivity and sequence drums
- Connect an iPad over USB-C and send audio from the iPad to the OP-1sampler

- Connect a high quality USB microphone to the OP-1 and record my guitar to the tape tracks
- It really feels like a portable DAW or studio now

Build Quality
The OG was already one of the most premium and beautiful instruments I have owned but everything on the Field feels even better.
- Screen looks amazing
- Feels very solid and well put together; knobs feel good, keys are all even
- USB C port

Much of the discussion has been about the price of the Field. I agree it is very expensive. Having it in my hands and using it, it feels like a premium high-quality product. It sounds amazing and can do so much. Here is another way of thinking about it; the OP-1 Field is Teenage Engineering's flagship workstation, it just happens to be very small but very powerful.

[Internal] Teenage Engineering is at the cutting edge of synth engineering - the kinds of sounds you get pre-loaded are amazing. But what really sets this instrument apart is that it's just FUN. It's playful and really draws you in - even if you're not a musician. You'll become one! Dive in.
