Q: 1. One of the reviews says there's a design flaw whereby the movable clamp is stuck when the clamp is mounted on a flat surface. All of my other clamps (Desmond and Kirk) have a tiny bit of clearance on the bottom of the movable part. Is this really a design flaw or a one-off problem with this reviewer's clamp?

A: When the Sunwayfoto DDC-60L Screw-Knob Dovetail Clamp is mounted on a flat surface it is difficult to tighten a plate, because the large knob cannot be tightened.

Q: 2. 1. What is the length of the M6 screw please? 2. Is it a compatible fit with the RRS L brackets?

A: I can answer part of your question -- about RRS plates. I have RRS, Induro, Kirk, Desmond and a couple of other brand plates, and this clamp works with all of them. The Sunway Photo website calls this RRS Compatible. It also works with Manfrotto 200PL plates.

Q: 3. Can I screw the clamp to a tripod with 1/4 male thread? For example, Manfrotto PIXI Mini.

A: Jiawei, B&H asked me to respond to your question. Most of my ArcaSwiss plates and clamps are from Sunwayfoto; I have found them to of excellent quality and a lot cheaper than the brand names. I do not own the DDP-64SiX. However, from its photo on the B&H website, I see no reason this clamp won't mount; I have a several of these that I have mounted on tripods and monopods with configurations similar to that on the rotator. One possible issue I can see is that the long knob on the clamp may interfere with the release lever on the rotator. I recommend you try it to find out if it's satisfactory for you. Hope this helps.

Q: 6. Can this replace the clamp on a Calumet 7045 ball head - the clamp is attached with a central screw and is removable - I just don't know how standardized that screw attachment is?

A: I am using the Manfroto Arca as the transition piece between the Arca foot and the Manfroto quick plate that slips into the ballhead receiver plate. The two components are attached to each other with the 1/4-20 screw already being used. I choose to keep this arrangement assembled to the Arca lens foot for convenience and speed. Use a second quick plate for standard, non- Arca needs.

Q: 7. Im looking at installing this screw clamp (Sunwayfoto DDC-50L) on a RRS BH-40 ball head. The RRS ball head stem has two tabs or ears where it mates with the plate. Does this plate have notches for this and will it bolt to the stem of the RRS BH-40 ?

A: The Sunwayfoto DDC-50L does have ears on it's base. Most likely it will fit the BH-40. However, we cannot guarantee it.

Q: 8. Is it compatible with Sunwayfoto CR-30C ?

A: The Sunwayfoto DDC-26 Mini Screw-Knob Clamp is not directly compatible with the Sunwayfoto CR-30C. The CR-30C already features an Arca compatible mount. If one wanted to mount a camera using the the DDC-26, one could mount it onto the 1/4 20 male connector on a small Arca compatable quick release plate that would mount onto the Sunwayfoto CR-30C quick release clamp.

Q: 9. Where can you get the small notched pin that goes under the Arca Swiss plate? It did not come with my plate.

A: I'm sorry but we don't carry pins for plates separately. You will have to purchase a plate that already has pins attached.
